Went to Visit Clonony Castle today. It is personally the most Beautiful Castle we have visited. The Castle is filled with Character, Vibrancy, Architecturally wonderful and steeped with Historical Significance. We had the most wonderful experience chatting with the Beautiful owner Rebecca, who was a warm and welcoming Host who filled us in about the castles history,she was hilariously funny and witty and a lovely person. Stop by today and I was very impressed. The owner is very welcoming and she knows a lot about the history of the area. I still just can’t wrap my head around the fact that she lives inside this mediaeval castle. One of the coolest things I’ve visited in Ireland.

The owner of the castle such a lovely lady :) we went there after trip to leap castle and this castle is in better condition, the owner is more approachable. You can feel the spirit of past years.

Best to ring and arrange your visit. Our group arrived on a Saturday as arranged and were warmly greeted by Rebecca, the owner. She gave us an interesting tour of the castle and its history. It would have been great to climb to the top floor but, understandably, as the top 2 floors are her private living quarters, we only got to see 2 of the floors. Well worth the visit (which is free, but she accepts donations towards the upkeep of the castle).…
