About
Ringer Reef is a small winery, vineyard and cellar door located in the Alpine Valleys region of Victoria. The property fronts the Great Alpine Road at the base of Mount Buffalo at Porepunkah, just 6kms from Bright in North East Victoria. A range of white, red and sparkling wines are hand made and bottled on site, from hand picked grapes grown on either our own or neighboring vineyards in Porepunkah. The owners Annie and Bruce Holm, a husband and wife team that are passionate about their wine and the area they live, are joined by their son Mark and his wife Julie to create Ringer Reef wines.

View of the mountains with great hospitality
Sep. 2021
Great little winery.
We had wine and a cheese platter on the deck.
Was a beautiful view of the mountains and watching the rain come in.
The wine was delicious and the cheese platters were full of local produce which was great value for money.

Beautiful winery with amazing service!
Mar. 2021 • Couples
Not only was this a beautiful winery with amazing wine and an incredible assortment of good quality food on the platter we ordered, they were also amazing hosts with incredible service! We rented bikes from intown and rode down for a wine tasting and then stayed back for a platter and wine in the sun! Everyone there was so kind and helpful! They even dropped the wine we purchased back at our air b n b so we didn’t have to carry it back on the bikes!! Couldn’t recommend this winery more!

Wonderful Views and Relaxed Atmosphere
Mar. 2021
This winery was recommended to us. We ordered some wine and a cheese platter and sat outside admiring the scenery. Both the cheese platter and the wines were excellent.

Highly recommend this venue if you are visiting Bright.

Great wine tasting and lunch
Mar. 2021 • Friends
A group of eight of us had a wine tasting followed by a platter lunch a couple of days ago. A fantastic experience. The tasting was interesting and Julie Holm was an excellent host who explained the wines in an expert and friendly manner. The platter lunch, accompanied by a great glass of nebbiolo was excellent and the surroundings amazing. Even if you do not like wine, it would be worth coming here to enjoy the amazing views.

Disappointing
Feb. 2021
Came here after enjoying a bottle of their Chardonnay with high expectations. Left quite disappointed.
I have no problems being charged for a tasting fee which normal places waived when a purchase is made. Here we were charged a tasting fee each but only one fee was waived. Really. I kid you not. Only one was waived. I appreciate when providing tasting some will end up in the 'spittoon' and may appear as wastage which needs to be avoided. But all of the tastings provided struggled to be 2 teaspoons - barely enough to spin in the glass let alone taste.
Then to top things off the wine they are apparently 'renown' for was not available for tasting.
Staff was a sole person which may have contributed to the rushed feel.
Overall, not a place I will be return to as there are many other wineries offering way better service (and wine) in the area.

Excellent little place with great views and clean facilities. Tried a few wines with and food platters. Great place to lose a few hours and only 10 minutes from Bright

Great Alpine Wine and Beautiful Views

Great place to visit and just sit and chill with friends. The wines were quite nice and reasonably priced and we loved the view of Mount Buffalo.

Great wine, food and view
Jan. 2021 • Couples
I quite like wine and food. One of my missions in life it to try wine from as many wine regions as possible. The Ringer Reefs Winery matches my expectations very well. The wines that i tried were elegant and well made. We matched the wine to the grazing platter which we enjoyed on their outdoor decking overlooking Mount Buffalo. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend a visit if you get a chance.

Wine & Cheese with a relaxing view.
Dec. 2020
I booked a 2-hour outdoor table for my wife and I, where we got to sit under a covered outdoor area overlooking the beautiful countryside. We did a wine tasting which is a must. Ringer Reef have a wonderful collection of wines, we particularly enjoyed the Sparklng Pinot Chardonnay, Montepulciano & the Sparkling Merlot. All had very different but pleasing flavours to wines we regularly drink. We purchased a bottle of each of the wines to share with friends and family, and enjoyed a glass of the Sparkling Merlot with the cheese board. The cheese board had a great selection of local produce and accompanied the wine well. One of the best wineries in the region, the staff were also attentive and lovely people. Ringer Reef is one of, if not the best winery in a region boasting many.

Great lunch in a wonderful setting.
Dec. 2020
Our group of six had a wonderful lunch yesterday and all commented that it was the best platter we have had. Lots of variety, great quality, fantastic value and the wines and beers went down very well.
On top of that, the service was exceptional. Plus the best views in the valley!
