Although it was extremely hot, the breeze was nice.. views are stunning. we explored the fort for two hours and found dark steps, indiana johns style lol, bats hanging in the semi dark rooms and stunning views. Highly recommend.

Really interesting historic and visually stunning fortress high on a hill in the Golan Heights. The brochure given by the park service plotted a helpful route in seeing the site and provided good explanations. Very worthwhile!

The drive from Nazareth was wonderful in December. Much more green than in June and Oct. But is was quite long and when we got there, they were already closing the gate for Sabbath. It was amazing to see from the road.

They open on 8:00 until 16:00 in the winter( you should be out by then) There is no local guide, and you need to bring one with you or walk by yourself with the panflet the cashier gives you with the ticket
