Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have visited this site several times over the years when it was just a pile of rocks. Today the region has been blessed to provide a fully working and informative visitor centre. The whole site is wheelchair accessible. The introductory film is excellent. The Synagogue and water spring are breathtaking. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a MUST SEE experience.

The place was an anciente settlement in the Golan, that was settled during the Bizantine time, around the 6th Century CE, and the inhabitants built the synagogue and enjoyed the source of water as well, the site was totally destroyed during the earthquake of 749 CE.
The name of the place remained as the arches of the water spring, somewhow remained.
The site was rediscovered by Laurence Oliphant that recognized the ruins as a Synagogue, and since 2003, archeologists recovered and reconstructed the site, in an amazing way, the video at the entrance to the site will give you the explanation.
A site to be visited next to Moshav Natur.

First visit to this place started with a short movie on the restoration activities. The easy path takes you through the achient Jewish village Which is still been excavated. There is an impressive area of spring covered with arches. (the place is called after the arches) , The highlight of the place is a restored synagogue dated to the mid-5th - 8th centuries. After the visit we had lunch in the large picknik area. I wonder why this place is not part of the National Parks. Requires entrance Fees

Our travel agent recommended this site for our sons Bar Mitzvah ceremony as we wanted a unique experience different than the Wall or Masada. We had planned an outdoor event in the reconstructed synagogue, and hired a photographer to capture the moments. As it turned out, the weather turned bad and we had to use the back up plan, the visitors center. In hindsight, we should’ve just planned that from the get go. It was beautiful! We used their presentation room, which has an unobstructed view of the synagogue, the hills and the Sea of Galilee. Luckily no one came in, and we had a brief but amazing service led by our Rabbi. The team at the visitors center was very accommodating, and helped us make our morning incredible. Once we were done, the rain stopped and we walked through the site. It was awesome, and worth visiting on its own if you’re traveling through the north.

This newly restored National Heritage site presents a large Jewish village from early in the first millennium. A highlight is the meticulously restored synagogue.
Spend a few minutes watching the orientation movie in the visitor's center.
Plenty of parking, picnic tables, clean bathrooms, coffee enhance your visit.

Ein Kshatot was fascinating for the four of us (two traditional Jewish mid-50s and two secular twenty-somethings). I suggest a guided tour. to get the most out of the site. We used Dor Pintel as our guide and thought he was great. He has an excellent understanding of the geology and history of the area as well, so he took us to see many interesting sites and was able to tie together the various sites through his story-telling. Ein Kshatot left a strong impression of early Jewish synagogue centrality and provokes questions and images of how the surrounding community may have lived.

We spent a couple of hours exploring this reconstructed synagogue from the Byzantine era. The film at the beginning of your journey (in Hebrew but with English subtitles) prepares you for an adventure. To be able to explore this ancient wonder was a great experience which I highly recommend.

The site is not that historically sognificant, but themaintenance work, organization, and archeological reconstruction are super. Many of the stones were left at place - so it was possible to recunstruct a few buildings - and the work on the site is still ongoing.
Also the view is great. Worth the visit.
