This winter there was a lot of rain and all the streams and waterfalls are full of water. It was a pleasure to walk around and also see the archeological sites. There is a reduced entrance fare for senior citizens. We came on a weekday...More

One of the most exciting National Parks in Israel. The hanging bridge is on the canyon wall allowing magnificent views of the foaming water below and leading to the waterfall. Recommended.

Amazing temple of Pan. Also historical site of Caesarea Philippi where Jesus took a retreat from daily life. River offers different scenery. Some nice walks in area, maybe 30-40 minutes and fairly easy. Amazing temples carved into the rock face.

We really enjoyed this walk/hike. Along a river in the shade mostly, a different side of Israel. You can go at your own pace. A number of different paths. Be sure to see the water falls and the suspended path route. Good souvenir store also.

Mythology, ancient temples, 2000 year old bridge (still in use) and architecture from various eras in the past 2000 years, are all attractions. Hiking to the waterfall is fun any time except in the rain.

As a licensed tour guide, I come here quite often. The nature reserve is clean and well kept. The hike from the parking lot to the waterfalls on the other side is about 45-55 minutes. It is not a hard hike, but it is a...More

An abundance of cool water in a hot and dry climate. Lush greenery set in an arid botanical setting. An oasis of refreshment on a warm summer day. That's how it is today, and undoubtedly how it was thousands of years ago. Banias is actually...More
