We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The only way we should interact with elephants. Louise and Russ and the whole crew at Hidden Forest look after these beautiful creatures as if they were their own children. If you’re googling ethical, sustainable and elephant - then you’ve found the place. 3.5 he tour with food and drinks included. Recommend wearing enclosed footwear

For a truly ethical experience this is your place . No bathing , no riding , just ambling through the jungle with these gentle giants before eating a beautiful lunch while watching them take a bath .

If you are looking for a really ethical elephant sanctuary, this is the place to go. Very well organised visit (and transportation) and we enjoyed every minute at Hidden Forest. You can truely feel how much Louise and the team care about their elephants and their wellbeing is most important to everyone. We and our kids learned so much about elephants and had an amazing time. Cannot recommend enough.

An amazing experience- everyone there has so much passion for the elephants and the need to protect them…it was such a treat to see elephants doing what they want to do, and being happy

Lovely place, a real treat to see the elephants well looked after.
Really informative on the challenges with Elephant tourism and some of the history behind it. Highlighting how some of the 'ethical' sanctuaries aren't up to scratch.
We enjoyed the feeding at the beginning and then walking up to the water and mud pools to watch them bathe. We ate in little covered seating overlooking the pools and the food was really good! Even the kids ate plenty!
A real family friendly place, the kids having colouring to do in the break points for example was really helpful to keep them entertained, and a nice touch.
Overall the staff were really helpful and friendly and despite the heat we had a great time. Our 4 and 6 year olds loved it.

If you’re looking for the true ethical elephant experience Hidden Forrest is your place.
It was a privilege to be so close to these gentle giants going about their lives as close to the way nature intended and not performing for tourists.
Rescued from a harsh working past these magnificent creatures have found a new home where they are respected and cared for by a dedicated and passionate team.
The walk through the sanctuary is broken up with stops (in the shade) to observe in awe and to learn about the past and future for the elephants. The walk ends at the pond where the elephants play and trumpet together whilst the group eat a simple delicious Thai lunch.
A humbling experience,
highly recommended 5 stars

I went with my partner and two teenagers and we left with a completely new perspective on the multi faceted social world of elephants. You develop an understanding of elephant social interaction and see them go about their lives whilst being in close proximity as they eat, communicate, bath and jostle for dominance.

The team’s focus is positive social change for the betterment of all elephant welfare. There’s no green or enviro washing here painted up as elephant rides or bathing, nor is there any preaching. They’ve nailed a careful balance of ethical commerce, education and immersion leaving visitors better off for the experience along the elephants.

The location is easy to get to, the facilities are top notch, the team is friendly and well informed, lunch was lovely and best of all, the elephants are happy, not stressed and living in an environment as close as possible to them being in the wild.

Do yourself a favour, lead by example and experience the elephant world via the team at Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve.
