Quite dissapointing considering the cost to enter! It feels forgotten, run down and very unsafe in areas where wooden bridges are broken. Birds and peacocks kept in very small cages it seemed very cruel.
I wouldn't recommend coming here.

- Reception: poor English, kind, not knowledgeable about the garden
- Garden: small, clean, looks like half forgotten, not very diverse fauna, poor markings, too centered on the instagram crowd, poor maintenance, annoying spa music playing in a loop
- The hotels’ gardens are probably nicer

Same as previous reviews, could be amazing! Unfortunately it’s clear whoever owns this place has not invested a penny for years.
We love plants, the owners do. Not.

500 baht should not be given by a single person until
They look after the plants and animals properly.

It’s such a shame as the mature plants are doing so well.

Avoid the wooden walkways. Except the one you have to traverse to leave!!!

Mosquito 🦟 to be expected so prepare accordingly.

Two peacocks in very small cages and should be left to roam. Poor tortoise 🐢 sharing a cage with the peacocks. Water looked old. Terrible.

I love guinea pigs 🐹 and keep many of them at home in 🇬🇧 these poor pigs were in a greenhouse. They had been breeding, who knows if any checks have been done. Their house was dirty and didn’t look like they had much escape from the heat.

This is my first one star review on TA!!!!

If I could have put the pigs in my suitcase I would have done.

I worry what would happen if it shuts down but with some TLC it could and should be a visitor hotspot. Also not far from the Chalong 🛕 so could be a great stop for tourists on the way.

Forewarned is forearmed.

Expensive 500 baht entry, cash only. The garden itself is OK in places but the general feel is that plants have not been tended to well, lots appear overgrown or dead in places.

What dropped this from a 3 to a 1 is the two adult peacocks they are clearly breeding in a tiny cage which is adjacent to another cage with their two offspring which were clearly distressed to get to their parents. Also in that same cage was a large mature tortoise in a bowl of dirty water that was unable to escape it. The bowl itself was barely larger than it was and probably about 50cm in diameter.

Avoid.

This is a terrible place. The lady at the entrance charged us 500 bath per person. The garden was like a random creepy forest. There was nothing! Only trees and swamps. Please dont waste your time and money on this horrible place. Worst experience ever.

This garden is a very poor state of maintenance and repair. Timber walkways are rotting and dangerous while plants are in need of maintenance. At least we found some orchids in flower. It is not a patch on what we saw in 2014.
At 500 Bt each it was a waste of money. The butterfly house was in complete ruin.

This place is managed in a very strange way, it looks abandoned when you arrive. It took us 10 minutes to find the entrance, which was locked. We were just about to leave and a man flagged us down. The gift shop is dimly lit and uninviting, not a great start.

However, once inside the gardens its quite beautiful. I do agree with other reviews that the place is definitely run down, which s unforgivable. There were no staff visible doing any kind of work or maintenance. In the end we just accepted that and spent lovely couple of hours just walking around and enjoying the many different trees, shrubs and flowers. We only saw 4 other people there, great for us but not for the gardens. It doesn't look like it will be there for much longer, I hope someone sees the beauty of this place and invests in it.

I had not planned to go to a botanical garden but I was in the area and my tuk-tuk driver took me to this location. I agree with the other visitors. The botanical gardens are not maintained as one would expect. Yes, mosquitoes are breeding. When I finished the tour and walked through the gift store it was dimly lit. I was under the impression that they may be looking for a new buyer.

Turned up and the entrance & car park were completely empty, however we decided to go in as the entrance did look inviting. 500baht per adult to enter - absolutely not worth it at all. I wouldn’t mind paying if the money was spent on maintaining the garden, however it is clearly not. Once inside, we were met with a mosquito haven and a very untidy garden in desperate need of maintenance. They also had many birds in tiny, unclean cages which made us very sad. Two peacocks were hidden away in a very small enclosure and both had lost their feathers and appeared to not be cared for. As soon as we saw this, we headed straight for the exit. Would not recommend at all.

Park looks abandoned when we arrived, we almost didn’t go in and then a lady waved us down. Rubbish throughout the car park and admission was 500 baht per person and mosquito spray 50 baht. We didn’t risk the disappointment for that price thank you
