This is a must see while in Phuket! Easy to get to and really worth it for the views alone, but a truly special place all round! When we visited there was a monk chanting which was a beautiful thing to hear! You can make a donation and sign the underside of a tile to be used on the Buddha.... More

You have to visit this iconic statue. It is huge and the views are simply stunninf. You are so high up, you can see everything. The Buddha itself had construction around it which was a little eye sore. The trip to the Buddha took a while actually, up hill, steep and alot of tight bends so be careful if driving... More

Myself and my boyfriend visited the Big Buddha last year during a two week holiday to Thailand. Being a tourist it was one of the things we wanted to see. We hired a taxi for the day doing several trips around the area. As we approached the Big Buddha you can appreciate the volume of size from a distance, it's... More

Not far out of Patong, a trip to the big Buddha is well worth the effort. The workmanship is incredible, and there is plenty of interest to see. The views are also fantastic.

Wow - it was certainly worth the visit even though it is still under construction. A very spiritual place - loved every moment of it. Amazing views from the top - it's a must see!!!!

Still somewhat of a construction zone, but the view from the top of the mountain is fantastic. There's plenty of attractions on the road up, including elephant rides and bird/monkey shows. A good place to take the kids, but be prepared to cover up if you're female.

"You have to go see the big buddha" "yes, Mum" We went whilst there was a lot of construction going on so It wasn't quite as tranquil as we had hoped but none the less still quite incredible. As per most other temples and sacred sites be sure to pack a sarong with you and as much as you can... More

Huge statue, but there were some construction happening at the time. Nevetheless it is a good place to visit with a good viewpoint overlooking the Phuket town.
