I loved this place, it was a fantastic place to take kids and adults alike to show them all the different kinds of ecosystems and nature here in Costa Rica, but unfortunately it's been closed for over a year. Too bad.

We were looking forward to visiting INBioparque and took a taxi from our hotel. After a long time in the never ending traffic and road construction we arrived at the gate only to be told the parque was closed. I checked the website before we left and it clearly states open 9-3 on Friday. There were no visible signs to... More

We accompanied a friend who is an artist in glass and works. She was rhe featured artist and had beeb commissioned to design a stained glass Christmas tree and spiders web. We went and found the park a very pleasant surprise. A retreat within the city. It is also close to other attractions and we'll worth the visit just for... More

The place offers a very nice opportunity to escape from regular city life and enjoy wilderness and nature within a 30 minute drive from San Jose City. Kids will enjoy watching the animal exhibits, playing on the playground or horseback riding. The whole family can relax and enjoy the gardens or walk through the forest trails or through the orchard.... More

We enjoyed touring this rain forest park and loved our young tour guide who works there! He pointed out some very unusual plants, trees, and birds, and had a lot of knowledge to share that made the visit so good. Well worth seeing!

Extensive trails through various ecosystems. Highlights included lots of big iguanas and enclosed butterfly garden. Was pretty pricey, though.

We visited this place on our first day in Costa Rica and it was a really good introduction to the wildlife, plants and trees we would see later on our trip. We were lucky enough to have Kenneth as our guide who was very knowledgeable and told us about coffee, chocolate, and trees as well as the animals. We particularly... More

I would not waste my money going here. A tropical place as beautiful as Cost rica, how can they house such a place where the reptiles and animals are in an unhealthy state. Snakes were all skinny as if unfed, the ponds with gators were not clean, overall, the animals were not kept jn good conditions for a park that... More

I visited here with a friend and her two young girls. We all had a good time. We saw a mother sloth and her baby, a family of whitetail deer, and a variety of birds, insects, and amphibians. There is a petting zoo with rabbits, goats, and piglets for the kids. The cafe serves decent local food at a reasonable... More
