Our family had a brilliant time at the center. The passion and commitment to the wildlife is so evident. Animals look so healthy and content. The staff are amazing. We had a brilliant, caring and fun guide, Ash, who took us on our walk. He went out his way to bring the cheetahs over to meet my youngest as he... More

Visited here on the recommendation of our guesthouse on a damp and overcast day in Plett. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Not often you get the opportunity to see some of these beautiful animals so close. Gift shop also had some nice souvenirs.

We had seen many of the big cats in the wild, but wanted to get more of a personal experience and for our children to understand a bit more about them. we visited on a day when the weather was poor - raining on & off - but this did not affect the day at all. In fact, it made... More

We stopped by Tenikwa for an early morning walk recently and I have to say that Duma and Zeus, the cheetahs we walked with, were possibly the happiest and most well-cared for animals we have ever met. The entire project is extremely well thought out, and it rescues/rehabilitates all manner of animals, not just cheetahs. Our walk with the cheetahs... More

We had an amazing experience with Joel as our guide! We were able to go into some of the cages with the big cats, and also around the back of the leopard cage for an incredible close up experience. Would absolutely recommend this tour.

We took my son to Tenikwa as his dream has been to interact with cheetah. We were so impressed with the friendly staff and also the well kept animals and their environment. Mfundo our guide was extremely knowledgeable and he was very happy to answer all of my sons questions. It was a fabulous experience!

This is a centre that rehabilitates and rescues animals, in particular cats. It has an animal hospital on site but visitors cannot go here as they try to limit contact with humans so they can be released into the wild. The animals you see are ones that cannot be returned to the wild. You get to go in the enclosure... More

Msizi my guide who is dedicated and very knowledgeable took me around the Centre and described with dedication the treatment these special wild cats are given. Having already been found in difficult circumstances they are treated and given a home in a carefully thought ambiance as close as possible to the natural surroundings they are given. You can photograph the... More
