As you walk round the Lotus Lake most of the attractions are on west side, and this is one of them. It's worth a visit and has some beautiful statues.

Enjoy a part of a day walking around a lake with many temples. Places to eat along the way and plenty of public bathrooms. Can be very hot so bring that umbrella and your camera for all the pictures you're going to want to take.

This was our introduction to Kaohsiung. A pleasant walk with lots of fascinating things to see on the way round including dragon boat racing on the day we went.

Nice lake that is kept fairly clean. Good 4km loop around the lake with some pretty monuments, temples, surrounded by bars that come alive at night. Not too crowded, lake looks clean enough.

This is a good-sized lake that you can take a walk around. Most of the structures (or "attractions") around the lake are either Buddhist or Taoist themed. It's a good place to take a stroll, especially in the morning when it's cooler (or in the...More

We did it via a cruise line tour. I think some people went there via taxi. I don't know whether public transport is an option.
