    a must do in Taipei
A MUST in Taipei. It is worth to buy the ticket online in advance and book the fast lane, because the crowd is usually very large. Once at the top, you have seen the view from all windows in just under 30 minutes. What is fun, however, are the numerous picture points, which are decorated from romantic to kitschy and are very popular with visitors. A tour of the technology that ensures the stability of the tower is worthwhile and worth seeing. This is also located at the top of the platform.

Nice upmarket mall. Clean and easy to navigate. Food Court too and the Observatory is a must.
More upmarket shopping and designer names like Cartier and GUCCI.  There are High Street brands too like ZARA.  Very clean and easy to navigate.  Complimentary free WIFI.  There is a Food Court at the bottom and a supermarket which stocks International brands too.  Definitely recommend.  I went a few times as it was near my hotel.  Visit the Observatory on floor 5f.  This is the tallest skyscraper in Taiwan.  Views were stunning at night.

    A premier place to shop
We weren't here for the sights but for the shopping at the mall. The shops here include first class shops such as Gucci, but also Rolex, Omega, Panerai, Longines. We spent plenty time at Lululemon where the girls were happiest.

    Awesome views!
Awesome tower, amazing views. And so much more than an amazing views. Cafe, ice creams, gift shop and activities on 89th floor. So clean and 360 degrees viewing. A no-brainer visit when in Taipei.

Taipei 101 is a magnet for visitors
Taipei 101 was once the tallest building in the world. These days, it's one of the world's tallest observation points. The elevator will get you to the observation point in a matter of minutes. The Mall is a center for luxury shopping at lower levels. Taipei 101 is a magnet for visitors. You can see all of Taipei from this outlook.

    Amazing building!
Absolutely beautiful and amazing building! If you get a chance to go to the top, you need to do it to see the beautiful city of Taipei. The bottom 5-6 floors are a very high end mall with the top name brand shops. Food court has lots of options, but it very busy.

Dint waste money on the extra for 101f
We chose to pay extra to visit the 101F but it didnt feel much of a difference. It cost nt600 to come to 89f and additional nt380 to come to 101f. I feel that the nt3000 skyline 460 experience would definitely be a better expenditure although i personally didnt try it. So dont bother paying for 101f, but just stick to the basic ticket at nt600 or choose the best experience at nt3000. I only gave it 3 out of 5 because i kind of felt cheated paying to go to 101f. The experience at 101f was honestly worse than just the 89f. You cant actually see out better at 101f than 89f so why am i paying more? If they advertised clearly what we are paying more for, i would have rated it higher. So yes, do not waste money to go to 101f.

    Babylon is a Must-Visit
There are many name brands clothing stores in the area. I really like ATT For Fun behind Taipei 101. It has a rooftop open air bar named Babylon on the 10th floor, where you can have a clear view of Taipei in the back!

One of the must visit in Taipei
This is one of the must visit places to visit Taipei. Most tourists can easily travel here with buses or MRT Red Line. In the first five floors of the Taipei 101 are all name brand shops and businesses. If you are looking for affordable kind of shopping you have to look behind after Taipei 101 and go to Breeze Square.

    Taiwan - Taipei
I went to Taiwan in December 2023. We engaged a private driver to fetch us around when we were there. Our driver Mr. Pan Ping Zhong very friendly and cheerful person. He brought to visit many beautiful places in Taipei. Through his introduction and detailed explaination we got to know a lot more about Taiwan. We had a great time with him as our personal driver. I would gladly have him as my private driver the next time I visit Taiwan. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a private driver when in Taiwan.

Taiwan is an earth-quake prone area, so it is reassuring that the building has an enormous ball of metal at the top that stops the building from wobbling. Taipei 101 is built in an intricate numerical formula based on traditional Chinese beliefs. It was once the tallest building in the world, Taiwan people are proud of it. The basement has a food court, and the mid-levels have international luxury retailers like Louis Vuitton and Burberry. I've never seen anyone buy anything there but they've been in business for a long time, so they must sell something. There's also a Din Tai Fung outlet, which is very popular. They do not take reservations, be prepared to wait for an hour before you are seated. Access to Taipei 101 is easy, take the MRT Red Line. Ascent to the top of Taipei 101 is rapid, it takes less than a minute.

Lots of shops and a great food hall with lots of cuisines, dessert shops to choose from.Very close to Grand Hyatt hotel and a 15-20 minute walk from Sun Yat Sen memorial hall.

The food hall is on Level B1 and there is a Din Tai Fung as well as access to the MRT .

The upper levels have the high end stores ie Bulgari, Dior , Prada but all were empty.Hardly any people at all walking around on the upper levels. The busiest level was the food court and the 1 st floor with Zara, Adidas. Very obvious it’s due to the current Corona situation.

The building resembles a bamboo shoot and the inside is glossy and gleaming especially on the upper levels with the high end stalls.

Hand sanitisation is happening every 2 hrs at the centre and it was available at every entrance.

Access to tenTaipei observatory is via 5 F.

It’s a must visit in Taipei as it has the observatory and also no crowds at the moment.

We were dropped off at the Taipei 101 Tower. From there it was an easy ride Westwards along the main train line - getting off at various stations to look around the main tourist attractions which were always a short walk away. The Daan Forest Park (turtles and squirrels), Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial, The Taipei Confucius Temple and many more stops - it all depends on how much time you have. After seeing all the sites, retrace your steps to the Taipei 101 Tower and either or both look around at the shops or take a lift/elevator to the top for a spectacular view.

Taipei 101 is one of the tallest buildings in the world. It was known to be the world's tallest skyscraper on 2004 and lasted until 2008.

It is also known as the world's largest New Year's Eve Countdown Clock and every year, it's a tradition for people to gather here and celebrate New Year's Eve with amazing fireworks display.

The skyscraper features multilevel shopping mall, observation decks and offices.

You can book an e-ticket via Klook should you wish to experience viewing the dazzling city of Taipei.

Taipei 101 is 508 meters, and was the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010. The elevators to the observation deck are lightning quick, one of the fastest in the world.

On the 88th floor is the 5.5 meter diameter, 660 metric ton wind damper, which in itself is an attraction. Most supertall skyscrapers have the damper hidden, so this I found this gold coloured iron wind damper very interesting.

The food court is on the basement floor, and has some good places to eat, such as Din Tai Fung. On the 5th floor you will find the ticket sales for the Taipei 101 Observatory.

We visited this tower at night after our visit to Elephant mountain or Xiangshan. Plenty of people milling around and brightly lit and colorful. You can buy a ticket and go up to the observatory, but we didn't 'cos we have better views up on Xiangshan or elephant mountain and the views were free. You can see Taipei 101 from many areas including Dr Sun Yat Sen memorial grounds, but Xiangshan offers the best view. This used to be the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010 before it was dethroned by the Burj Khalifa in UAE. The Taipei 101 Metro station is right outside.

This is the main Taipei attraction, something to definitely check out on a 1-2 day visit.

Once you buy a ticket, the queue for the elevator is about a 30 minute wait. Great views from up top..., provides a great look at the city and the surrounding topography. Try to go up near sunset to get the daytime and nighttime views.

Shops up top and on the 5th floor sell postcards and stamps.

We booked Taipei 101 through Klook and it is very easy to redeem through the machine. The view was beautiful from above. We can feel the building is shaking mildly especially when windy and a little bit dizzy like seasick. The best experience was ride the fastest lift to the top in less than 15 seconds.

Taipei on your own from Azamara cruise.

On April 25, 2023 Azamara docked in Keelung, Taiwan.
We purchased this tour back home for $69/person. On board this tour was sold for$79/person. All tours on board usually charged more than pre-purchased tours.
Trip from Keelung to Taipei takes about 40 min on tour bus. Confusion started immediately as soon as our guide started explanation how to reach hop on hop off bus with tickets provided by the Taipei City Government for free for the visitors upon showing up and recording their passport information. Fortunately, we had on bus engineer from the cruise who was very helpful clarifying guide’s information into plain English.
To reach the first bus stop we had an option to take a taxi or to ride subway. Just a few people took the trouble to get to the hop on/off bus and told us that this was not worth the effort. After taking excursions from more the two dozen cruises, I definitely may say that this offering from Azamara was the least beneficial as time and money spent. Taipei 101 was worth visiting, but not with this cruise offring.

For about $6 one could purchase round trip to Taipei on bus or train. The train and bus stations are within easy 10 to 15 min walk from the cruise terminal in Keelung port.

Happy Travels.

Fresh from Bangkok, Thailand after Philippines won Miss Universe 2018, I flew to Taipei, Taiwan on New Year's Eve wearing my Miss Universe Mikimoto crown 👑 prototype to witness the 2004-2010 World's Tallest Building, TAIPEI 101 Fireworks Display with my closest friends for the first time to welcome the New Year 2019. I took the 3rd World's Fastest Elevator reaching a peak speed of at 55 feet per second (16.8 meters per second) to the 89th floor of Taipei 101 Observatory. The observatory deck offered sweeping 360° city views of Taipei. The building was covered with fug at that time because of the winter season.

I had the most delicious and legendary steamed dumpling on my birthday dinner at Din Tai Fung located at the basement level of Taipei 101.
