Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Qixingtan Beach is scenic and great for photos. The beach is windy and chilling in winter in the evening. A nice place for a short stop to admire and soak in the atmosphere. Simple hot snacks are available from one to two mobile vendors at the entrance of the beach.

I came here for sunset and was pretty nice. Just wish there was someone selling beer, would have been good to enjoy the sunset

The very famous beach filled with pebbles. Went there with the kids 5yo & 2yo. Nothing much to do there except to enjoy the breeze and scenery. But worth the stopover for photo taking. Its not very crowded. Very clean beach. Many dead puffer fish being wash ashore....

This public beach is literally on the back side of the Hualien airport. There is a small parking lot, a small tourist center, but pretty much everything else is just you, the beach, and the Pacific Ocean. We were there on a cloudy morning, and our hosts were disappointed because apparently the water is typically a very deep blue. However, even with the weather, we very much had an enjoyable time taking in the scenery, appreciating the Pacific Ocean, and also skipping one of the countless rocks into the ocean. The beach is made of rocks and pebbles of various size - not sand - so it wasn't an issue for us to keep our shoes on.
