Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Some cultivated and curated gardens, mostly for tourists. Tickets are $120 per person. There are photo ops which include pianos, drum set, tractors and the beautiful mountain backdrop. What was great was a flutist playing live music.

This place is amazing, it was February when I went there and all of the flower in there is so beautiful. You can take picture at every corner and you will feel the time is running fast there because of the beautiful scenery. Although it’s a little bit far from the city but worth it to go there.

Zhong Flower Market is an hour and a half drive from Taipei City. The weather was perfect. The flowers were so beautiful and in full bloom. Perfect for photo shoots. The garden was well kept and they had a pond too. Everyone in the family enjoyed the place. Worth every penny, cheers!

We hired a private car tour (Mr. Frank and Mr. Kevin) to visit this flower market in Taichung. It’s a long drive from Taipei (more than 2 hours, I think) but the place is worth it. It doesn’t feel like a market area. It’s a lovely flower field.
Thank you Mr. Kevin for touring and safely driving us around Taichung. Next time I visit Taiwan, I will definitely call you and Mr. Frank again.

Have inserted this into our itinerary as my mum loves flowers! And I am so glad we came. There is a pond filled with fish inside the flowers plot area and it kept my little one entertained with the fish feeding. The rest of the adults enjoyed looking at the multi-colored beautiful flowers and take photos at the various spots like piano, tractor, etc. I see that there is a huge bbq dining area so I think if time allows, one should include a meal over there too. We didn’t have a luxury of time so we didn’t try out the food.

There is a store/area selling honey near the flower plot entry point and we bought many bottles of honey and the taste is great and store owners are so friendly.

Highly recommended for flowers lover as my mum greatly enjoyed herself.

It was a fun experience with my friends seeing the vast place filled with flowers. But, I guess I was expecting more. 3rd-4th week of March 2023 was smoldering. It was hot when we went there. Thus, draining our energies 😅. Overall we enjoyed going there since the vibe of the place is quite good.

A must visit when in Taiwan. A place where you can relax. Enjoy the view. Must buy the muscle pain spray and ointment. Sold near the entrance. Very friendly staff and clean place.

I never let myself not to visit Zhongshe Flower Market or i prefer to call Houli Flower Farm during my stay in Taichung before getting back to the Airport the next day. The Farm is not t hat big but enough to cater your eyes. Please prepare your battery and storage space because even who are not a fan of flowers, you cannot help yourself not to take photos.

To get here from Taichung Station:
- Take train towards Houli Station and alight at Houli Station; 20 mins, NT28
- Take cab from Houli Station to Zhong Se Flower Market; 10 mins; NT200 (Most can can accommodate up to 6 passengers)

Entrance fee: NT120 per pax

The flower market is divided into three sections - the market, the food court for BBQ (didn't try it, but it really looks good! Heard it is a all-you-can-eat buffet) as well as the flower field.

The flower market sells a series of flower seeds, potted plants as well as gardening equipment.

The flower field is home to many different plants/flowers that I couldn't recognise, but are extremely calming and therapeutic. There's also pavilion with seats, if you would like to take a rest, and a fish pond.

The field is very well maintained and has numerous props such as piano, cages and rustic benches for photo-taking purposes.

Would highly recommend this, even if you're not a flower lover!

Taichung just launched its World Flora Expo yesterday. We braved the long queues to be the first to get in. The Expo covers three separate venues. We only managed to go to the Houli Flower Exhibition. Weather was good but it got really hot (30 degrees) at midday. My parents were a little exhausted after the walk in the big park. Beautiful flowers and beautiful exhibits. We should not miss it if you are in Taichung. If you are travelling from Taipei, take the regular shuttle bus service from the HSR station to the 3 venues. It takes about 30 minutes. There are some hawker stores both inside and outside of the park. The best recommended time to go is 4 pm. Then you can see the sunset at the park at around 5:10pm. Worth the trip ! But be warned. At opening, it was "people mountain people sea". Enjoy.
