We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Before digitisation and the word processing, this was how it was done - pages and pages of books and newspapers were set using these lead based printing blocks which in turn were created in a foundry. This foundry is the last of it's kind still working. Of course nowadays no one actually uses the foundry's products to print books of newspapers, but you can still buy their blocks to make up your name etc and act as a seal of sorts

This foundry is a priceless and living cultural asset!
Well worth a visit!

Amazing!! There are arrays of typefonts in this shops.
Located in a small lane, it's still pretty busy when I first went.
I made name stamps for myself and friends. It's effortable and unique.
Love the font and most important, it's in traditional chinese.

Hope it will stay long!!

This place is a typography factory turn shop. With thousands of characters lining up on shelves, one could always find a word (Chinese or Roman characters available) to make into a unique stamp! The people who work here speaks basic English and is very helpful in suggesting the font and word choice. Visit here if you are looking for some cool souvenirs and would like some "characters"!

With computer and software getting nicer, faster, smarter and more user friendly, keeping this 'industry' isn't easy at all in our modern word where everything is digital.
I am so impressed by all these efforts the owner and staffs have put on to carry on this tradition craftsmanship.
You can find almost all words in different fonts and sizes.
Every single word is individually placed on shelves, nicely categorized and organized.
Feel free to pick your favorite ones and DIY your chops.
Yet please behave yourself, think twice before you take the word out from the shelve and be really careful with them.
So I would really recommend people to have a brief idea what kind of chops and what words they want to DIY before going.
And trust me, if you really have no idea what you are looking for, you will be totally lost in this shop.
Afterwards, they will weight your 'words' to see how much your chops it.
Can't remember their prices thou...

I visited their website beforehand and there's nothing much on the page about this shop such as products and prices.
Instead they are trying to raise funds to support their 'campaign' in correcting and recovering some words as per the most standardized Chinese words design.
Salute to this shop who dedicated on 'protecting' our beautiful traditional Chinese words!

One hint, you may check their Facebook page to see if there is any updates on their opening hours or special notices.
Like the first time I tried to visit but it was during Taiwan long weekend public holiday, the closure notice wasn't in anything but solely on their FB page.
So I actually made my effort twice in order to witness this beautiful industry.

FYI - it also have English letters!

An amazing array of typefonts in a small warehouse/store. Worth a few minutes in spite of the limited explanation in English.

went here in march and the girl at the reception was not friendly. maybe she was having a bad day or whatever - or maybe she's racist. but when at the end I bought 120 us dollars worth of goods, only then did her bow show some semblance of respect - not a pleasant experience
