Unfortunately we visited on a Monday when the springs were closed and the museum is closed for renovations. The museum would have been good - but the hit springs area looked unimpressive. Don’t bother . If you want to a day trip chose maokong gondola

It was amazing to see the history and old architecture in this area. Go to a hot spring place to relax and release all your stress.

Very near Xinbeitou MRT Station. But, very dated interior. Took room with private bath & sauna. Toilet & bath rooms were separated. Toilet has bidet feature but not working most of the time. Bed and pilllows were comfortable. 4 bottles of water were supplied daily....More

we were not sure what to expect but the sight of the "smoke" is impressive. worth the visit. there is a public bath, but unfortunately we did not have sufficient time.

Yes kids can go in the designated area for hopping in the hot springs pools! I think there is no cost! I hope this helps, enjoy.
