This really was a fascinating place. You can only visit the underground elements of the fort, with a guide. Our guide did the tour in French as we were the only english speakers. He did take us to one side at certain points to give...More
This fort was built on of the northern edge of the Maginot Line later on, and it saw action in 1940. Since it was built during hard financial times it's not as large as some of the early fortifications on the Maginot. During the German...More

The visit with a group was very interesting, for history intessed people; it's to go to an underground passagway, deep of ca 30 m ; it's cold and humid and for me frustrating and also to imagine the war situations of this time, and in...More
We were lucky to get an English speaking guide, he was brilliant, it wouldn't have been so moving without him.
I won't go into the story but its a terrible and really unnecessary tragic waste of lives.
Group of 10 English speakers on our own so luckily the tour was carried out in English, The guide was informative, friendly and took his time answering our questions.
I would recommend this to all. Museum, although small is well laid out.
