If you stay in a resort off the beach it's good. There is a good choice of bars and restaurants too. It did not seem as awe inspiring as ko phi phi Don or ko lanta.

Quiet beach with jetski hire ect. Restaurants, bars, money changers and shopping. A lot quieter than the average beach area.
Great beach located in an area that feels secluded but has lots of places to eat, drink and shop. Close to Fantasea and has ample parking. Surf competition is held there in September and worth checking out. Nice place to get photos of beach side...More
Nice beach cafe district with street shopping offered. One side of the beach cafe district is undeveloped dirty, litter and building product everywhere the other very clean and pleasant. Lots of eating options, all appear solid and reasonable prices. Shopping is poor, overpriced cheap standard...More
In September this beach was pretty much quiet. The visitors are mainly in Patong and so if you a family or prefer something more laid back then, Kamala beach is where you should stay and visit.
Hotels around Kamala beach are in mid-range to luxury hotel so it reflects to how the keep this beach clean. Recommended for those who love a peaceful beach!
