Quite a nice little walk (couldn't call it a hike) in some impressive geological features.
It was apparently part of the shooting location for one of the transformers movies. There are large apparitions in a variety of locations.
We visited this area in winter and had to abandon our trip to Fairy Mountain, which is close by. It was totally covered in heavy fog/cloud, so we got off the bus early and returned to Wulong township.

We caught the local bus from wulong Town for 10Cny to the tourist centre.
I absolutely loved it here.
It cost 95 cny (nov).
Took a few hours to steadily wander through taking many photos.
The layout and pathways have been brilliantly done.
We then took their tourist bus to longshuixia gap which was also stunning. After returned to the tourist centre via their tourist bus
I 100% recommend

We went to the Wulong Karst on December 30, 2018 which we have some snow along way giving us a cool white scenery. The Tea House was cover in white snow. It was really amazing view and able to walk around this area. A must visit. If you are traveling from Chongqing city for a day trip using public transportation, make sure that you have enough time to come down from the mountain (festive season might be a bit of queuing and traffic on the roads). Even it is a low season yet Local still travel to experience this natural park. We did not make it back on time to get the last bus to Chongqing City as we are doing a trip. But able to get some local around the station to take us to the other bus (not scheduled one) with additional fee. But we arrived safely in Chongqing on the same day. There is still a lot more to see in this area if you want to experience all i suggest to stay overnight or two to get around. I would do that on my next visit.

This is a 3-hour ride from the city center to Wulong, then a short bus trip to the Three Natual Bridges. Once there, it's a long walk down 1,000 steps to the bottom and and about an hour walk thorugh the area. Take water. If you get tired of walking, you can pay to have two men carry you in a cart to the end. Find the information counter to have someone explain the tickets and bus arrangement in English. We were the only westerners while we were there.

This UNESCO world heritage site famous for its karst landform with several major attractions within the 9 sq kilometers of park. It includes three natural bridges, the gorge valley, the Tianmen Cave Bridge, Furong caves, 45 degree Pingange Cableway, and Fairy Mt with the Mist Pavilion. You need more than one day to cover several main attractions, and even more for the entire park.
This amazing and picturesque creation of mother nature easily rivals any of the natural world wonders. In areas without people you are rewarded with the tranquility of nature, and wonderful rich oxygen – often lost within the large cities of China.
The mighty Yangtze River has spent thousands of years cutting through the mountains and creating this magnificent long narrow gorge with steep walls, limestone formations, caves, and underground rivers. It has only been opened to the public since 2014. The gorge walkway, 1500 meters in length, hangs from the 500 meter cliff walls about 100 meters of the canyon floor. In some areas the gorge narrows to only several metres wide.
A must visit “world class” attraction.

Filled a day in between business meetings and can strongly recommend this as a full day experience. Difficult couple of hours getting to and from the geo-park but the park itself makes it all worth while. I won't bore you with endless platitudes but I can say it was as good as any of the other parks I have visited over the twenty years I've lived and worked in China. Beware though that this is not for the infirm, there are plenty of steps, even by Chinese standards, mostly downhill which is in itself arduous if you are not used to it. Now that I've recovered Im in awe of what I saw.

OK I was only in area for two days.I am pretty sure there are numerous components of the Wulong Karst. The three most visited are the Three Bridges, Longshuixia Fissure and Furong Cave. The last was not open when I was there and was closed for decorating for opening May 1st.Now I do not believe in uploading photos for well know sites.See for yourself.I do however belief maps help.
Tips I can give are number 1 stay at Zoo Courtyard for help and english assistance and great place to stay.Tips on localities I list at locality review in detail.Stay at Zoo Courtyard and Tourist Centre is down the road and you buy your tickets there. Zoo Courtyard will help shuttle you. There are few discounts main one is half price for over 60. Have a student card may also come in handy.Otherwise most discounts are Chinese orientated.Sites are not cheap. There are shuttle buses to localities but three bridges has two entrances. One western entrance involves more walking but at its locality is an extra option of a Skywalk or viewing platform for extra 25Yuan.It involves more walking down winding steep steps and also at bottom you hit the gorge bottom as a T section so have to go right(west) first to its end and then come back on yourself. You will also run head on into people coming at you from their western elevator and BumbleBee entrance. This second entrance enters the gorge by way of an elevator and then steps but once at bottom it is a straight-forward walk ahead of yourself to the east all the way.No duplicating of route. This second entrance is also where everyone talks about seeing the Transformer BumbleBee at the start.
You do not get a choice of entrances. They do this so as to reduce bottlenecks at entrances and stairs/steps.
People have different ideas on whether to go to 3 Bridges or Fissure first. Really there is no rationale. In high season may be better to go to fissure because everyone goes to three bridges but in the end terrible bottlenecks must exist in high season.Three bridges is more popular as a first destination after can carry on by shuttle to fissure.Be prepared that if you turn up at Tourist Centre and want to go to Fissure that there may not be enough for one bus.So they put you on three bridges bus then after they get off they carry on with remainder of you to the fissure. So just please be prepared for variations.Be understanding.Well read.Talk to people.Show tickets and double and triple check with drivers etc.People will be most helpful its their job but you need to know to ask the questions.
One other thing after all the walking in three bridges and if like me you had to do more from non elevator entrance then when you come to the end you have a choice you can walk up and out of the gorge by steps and take 30 minutes to shuttle bus car park to go to Tourist Centre or you can pay and go up to shuttle bus car park by electric car .I was not happy with this set up because second entrance was a longer walk and many steps to start with.To have to climb back up steps was time consuming. So if trying to complete in a day and maybe even try for cave as well then take every opportunity of transport. In total though doing all three in a day is a fair whack of yuan.
The fissure itself is a simple one entrance one exit. Both can be done in a day easily.

When we arrived ti Wulong city by train, we right away get to know with some guy who offered us to guide to ticket place and then to the mountains. As it was extremely cold, we accepted his offer. (but I think you can take taxi or bus). Rhe ride up took us around 40min. The guy helped us to buy tickets and everything... I am not sure how could we do this without him, probably it would take much more time... then he drove us to the entrance and waited us in the exit. Again, I am not sure how you het from ticket place to entrance to the park if you dont have a car or driver... I saw there many big busses, and shuttles, I believe they drive to the park, but everything seemed so empty, that I dont know if something was working. I believe in summer it's more convenient. But going there in december gives you almost zero chinese tourists. Or any tourists at all. Park was great, beautiful and worth the visit. Deffinately go there if you happen to be in Chongqing!

Went there with my colleagues as part of a team building trip. It was a real pity I forgot all my geography - The rock formations were simply fantastic but I couldn't name them.
The air was fresh and crisp. There was not much people in late autumn/winter as it was the off-peak season - the view would be much better in summer.
Highly recommended for anyone going to Chongqing. Bring along a jacket as it could be slightly chilly.
