SAW A BEAR BUT NO TIGER
Chitwan national park is huge so one only sees a portion of it as with all NP no guarantee of seeing animals (sometimes that memo just doesn't get to the animals in time LOL) BUT The safari that had been book by tour company that I was travelling with departed at 12.40pm Everyone knows that safaris are conducted dawn and dusk not in the heat of the day. Also backburning was being conducted so not many animals are going to stick around. BUT Moving on so having been driven around for 2 hours with not even a whisker to be seen and a comfort stop we set of again like Uncle Arthur and we slowly started to see some animals but never the elusive tiger. Maybe I should have taken up a chair in the main town square of an evening as had been told that rhinos and tiger do visit of a night. I did see however a bear distant and to quick for a photo but I saw it. I also think that drivers should be in contact with each other so can be made aware of location of animals and a scout also to locate animals. Still an enjoyable afternoon driving around the park and an amazing sunset

Canoe Ride : One of the best experience
Chitwan National Park is the home for rhino, tiger, bear, elephants and other mammals. It was lucky that we witnessed wild elephant, peacock, rhino, crocodile and many exotic birds on our half day safari. But the best was our canoe ride for 1hr in the evening. It's dangerously beautiful. When u have all crocodiles and rhinos drinking water in a foots length.

    Wildlife paradise
When this Ghariyal, Magar crocodile conversation area's perimeter was first put in place, there was no animal conservation area in whole of Asia. To reach Asia's first place to protect Asiatic Rhino, you can fly to Bharatpur airport and take taxi to Chitwan National Park. Not flying, you can reach the place for elephant jungle safari in Chitwan Nepal by driving along the scenic route. We recommend a full day. Early morning on those magnificent elephant back. After lunch until sunset, safari by jeep is best. Mind you, you will only see a small part of this pioneer conversation area in inner Terai of Nepal in a single day. The animals and birds you come across will take breath away. Pioneer in elephant conservation, bird watching paradise in Nepal.

    Memorable Jungle Safari
Best trip of my life ever with the Chitwan National Park. When we entered to Jungle we found Rhinos, Deer, Peacock, Birds, and many more wild animals. Thank you Mr. Dinesh Giri a Tour guide and Jeep driver for your great effort to show us wild animals. The National Park Management to maintain the jungle properly, due to trees on the ground have made little difficult for us to do Jungle Safari. The rest was amazing and wonderful. I enjoyed it a lot. Must visit place in Chitwan.

Best trip to Chitwan National Park
It was a very sound time we spent in Chitwan National Park where we saw many Rhinos, Peacock, Deer, and many wild animals. Green lush jungle, many birds, and lovely crocodiles make our trip very special. We're very thankful to our guide Mr. Dinesh Giri who was explaining us about Birds, wild animals and area very nicely. Thanks to Jeep driver as well. We all had great time in Chitwan National Park.

    A must see and experience
We were lucky to spend a whole day in this large national park. Firstly we climbed into dugout canoe for 2hours on the river and were amazed at how many different species of bird we saw while making sure we were not prey to the crocodiles. Next we rode in a safari vehicle for the remainder of the day including a picnic lunch. Our guide was very good at spotting the wildlife and we were privileged to see the endangered rhinoceros at close quarters.

    Excellent Nepal trip
With the agency, and in particular with Mr Kisan, we organized trips to Kathmandu, bus trips to Chitwan and Pokhara. We also took part in the three-day tour of the Chitwan National Park with the safari and many initiatives to spot flora and fauna. Kisan always organized everything for us with professionalism and precision, he also made himself available remotely via Whatsapp. Absolutely recommended!

I wanted to stay in Chitwan for one week but I have spent there only 2 days. Because me and my wife saw one of the worse thing in our life. Man who ride on elephant hit a elephant with sharp steel stick. He hit him maybe 10 times. It was crazy. My wife cried. After that we checked skin of others elephants. All of them had so many old and new injuries and scars. I have some pictures of it. They have around 15 elephants chained for almost whole day. They ride on them from 10-16 every day (do elephant safary for example)and during riding they hit them. It was in city Saurahu. Who really like animals, please do not support people with this behavior. Choose diferent location.

Extremely crowded atmospherr with noises... Many cars are allowed at a time line by line... How can I expect animals to come nearby?
People number and noises should be regulated..
Otherwise very beautiful..
Deers, Rhino, Monkeys, Birds ,Crocodile are visible often.
Cars should be run a little bit slower that one can observe carefully...

We went on an early morning jeep safari for 3 - 4 hours. The landscape of the park is beautiful, but the vegetation is incredibly dense right after monsoon season, making it nearly impossible to see anything. We saw some spotted deer, a few, distant monkeys, and a rhino. We were told that elephants are used to help with anti-poaching patrols, and then, to our dismay, saw two of these elephants with their front legs chained together at a patrol station. I would not recommend the park based on this alone (and what others have mentioned about the elephant treatment), but also be careful about the time of year and how your expectations are managed in terms of wildlife viewing.

I went on the jeep tour as well as a short walking tour outside the main park and saw many animals like the greater one-horned rhinos, elephants, spotted deer, macaque and langur monkeys, crocodiles, gharials, and many different types of birds like the Asian openbills and Alexandrine parakeets. It was like NatGeo live! The jeep tour was well-organised. I’ll also suggest actively looking around for the animals as the guide can only see in one direction at any one time, so having more people looking out meant spotting more animals.

Skip the elephant rides and elephant breeding centre.

For wildlife, I’ll also recommend 20,000 Lakes nearby for a slightly different experience!

I chose not to ride the elephants as I did not want to promote the mis treatment of them (chained up etc). I stayed behind to witness one poor elephant to be repeatedly hit with a large stick, so hard that I could still hear it again and again at a great distance down the road. I understand now that by simply visiting (and feeding) the elephants, I am promoting their mistreatment through chaining them up and training by hitting them.
Never again!

We visited Chitwan National Park for two nights as part of our trip to Nepal. Overall, we were quite disappointed. We saw minimal animal life during our almost 6-hour jeep safari. Maybe just an off day? If you've been on African safaris, this will not excite you.

Best part was definitely the peace and serenity of the river "safari" on a motorless boat at sunset.

Chitwan National Park is a preserved area in the Terai Lowlands of south-central Nepal, known for its biodiversity. Its dense forests and grassy plains are home to rare mammals like one-horned rhinos and Bengal tigers. The park shelters numerous bird species, including the giant hornbill. Dugout canoes traverse the northern Rapti River, home to crocodiles. Inside the park is Balmiki Ashram, a Hindu pilgrimage site

There are no animals at least in the visible range. The guys fool you by offering a 4 hour safari which can easily pass off as a 1 hour 'go in and out of the park' tour. You can barely spot a couple of deer, some birds and monkeys and maybe a Rhino. Surely not what you want to spend so much money and time on.
They would add alligator breeding to this which is a group of alligators you get to see - the only real animals on this tour from close but not much to explain here.
We didn't go with very high expectations but this was still highly disappointing.
Dirty, unkempt, no animals and the only safari where I have seen people dozing off on the jeep

Chitwan is an incredible destination worth exploring, showcasing breathtaking natural wonders. However, it's disheartening to witness the treatment of elephants there. To have a positive experience while respecting animal welfare, I recommend engaging in activities such as jeep safaris and jungle walks while opting out of elephant rides and visiting the elephant breeding center.
