Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We spent about an hour there chatting with Laurie and Sherry. Their hospitality was lovely and they were genuinely interested in us.

The artwork by Laurie was exquisite whether it was drawings or carvings.

A beautiful aspect is the gardens and the lovely parrots and other birds that were present.

This was the highlight of our holiday.

If you're in the area, it is a must to see.

We popped in for a look after seeing the gallery a couple of houses down from our holiday house. We were drawn in by the scones but loved every aspect of this wonderful little gallery. The owners are lovely, welcoming people. The scones were to die for! So light and fluffy but crispy on the outside, others in the party thoroughly enjoyed the cheesecake and other menu offerings. We got a tour of the succulent gardens and a sneak peak inside Laurie's workshop to see something he had recently completed. Both were lovely to speak with, very down to earth and welcoming. We left with happy tummies, some art to show off in our homes and some succulents to grace our gardens. Will definitely stop in the next time we are in the area.

We travelled to Kings to do something indoors on a (very) windy morning. The art on display is beautiful, comprising a mixture of very high standard works from in variety of medium. There are works from two timber craftsman (including huon pine works) as well as paintings and other art. The works of King himself are numerous and excellent, with birds and costal scenes his main focus.

The food and coffee are delicious with a nice attention to detail evident. The surrounds are picturesque and itbis an easy venue to find.

This venue is worth a visit, whether you want to combine it with a trip to the East Coast or just drop in on your way through.
For lovers of beautiful art and decent coffee, it may even be worth a drive up from Hobart or down from Launceston for the day.

Excellent service, excellent food - freshly baked and prepared and very, very tasty. Lots to look at in the gallery and some lovely cards to purchase with details explaining the painting on the front. A previously undiscovered gem!

Visited today amazing seascapes and birds, oils and pastels. We have visited many art galleries and always feel let down with current artwork. These paintings are better then most we have seen in any of the galleries. Originals and prints available. Spoke to the artist Laurie and his wife very friendly couple. Peaceful location sealed road all the way. Also serve coffee, scones and cakes. Only minutes from Swansea.

During our holiday at Dolphin Sands we visited the gallery a number of times as it was the most delightful place to have morning tea and view beautiful paintings and prints. We can’t recommend a visit highly enough.
