Spent about 4 hrs on a Jeep tour, saw elephants, deer and lucky enough to see a sloth bear. Gets a bit dusty so suggest a face mask from a chemist to reduce dust intake. Luckily our guide offered that advise. A really great experience.

Panikkar Villu Bungalow, Wilpattu National Park. This is a tough one. Staying at a Wildlife Conservation Department bungalow inside a national park is at best compared to camping out, except you have a roof over your head. Let’s list out what you don’t have: Charging...More

We went with the afternoon tour, have seen a lots of animals missed out on the bear. Please note this is not a Zoo, you have to be lucky, patient and you have to look out for animals to see them.

This is one of the most beautiful territory in Sri Lanka. 5-8 hours safari will allow you to enjoy natural environment, watch animals and their life patterns. Worth spending few days if you are really interested on wild life.

The key thing about this park is that it is currently unspoilt and thus not very busy - nor commercialised. There are some beautiful roads and avenues of trees, some interesting lakes and some very interesting (!) bumpy roads! The fact that the park is...More

I highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka. Safari took about 3 hrs and we enjoyed it very much. We stayed near Kalpitiya and it’s about 1 hr 20 mins away . You can also do it as a day trip from Colombo.
