Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This monument to our National Hero was erected in Elderslie as a victorian tourist attraction. Contempary research by academics including Dr Fiona Watson from Stirling University has identified the birthplace as not Elderslie but Ellerslie on the Wallace family lands near Kilmarnock in Ayrshire. East Ayrshire Council seem to have totally failed to use the William Wallace connections to encourage tourism in their area. Despite that, this monument to William Wallace, and others including the Borders, Aberdeen, Ayrshire and of course the magnificant National Wallace Monument in Stirling should be essential visits.

Set back from the main road on some raised steps this octagonal shaped monument marks critical moments from the life of William Wallace and is allegedly the birth place of WW.
