Do not come here if you’re not Asian.
Me and my partner (both from the UK) came to the water park and did the cable cart. We spent a few hours in the water park and if you’re a white female I do not recommend it, you’ll spend the whole day getting stared at (and i mean STARED at) by both men and woman.
Both me and my partner each weigh around 70kg/11 stone (pretty average I think). And at the top of every slide they have scales for you to stand on in front of everyone to make sure your not to heavy for the rides (the rides have a 100kg weight limit) and forgive me if I’m wrong but a 70kg person does not look 100kg.
They asked me and my partner on most rides to stand on the scales…. I understand the health and safety but 100kg. Really…. A bit rude I think, especially to ask a woman. Some of the life guards are screwed as they’re bigger than me and my partner put together. (No I’m not joking either).
I realised afterwards why we didn’t see any other white people the whole time we was there.
So if your not a twig and weigh anything above 10/11 stone (70 kg) expect to be asked to stand on scales before you go down the slide.
And if your white. Be prepared to be stared at the whole day.

I'm generally into visiting theme parks - and was keen to try out the Dragon Run rollercoaster here. Unfortunately I was less keen after being pushed around buying tickets (£10/300k VND pp) and waiting 40 minutes in an un-air conditioned room only to deduce the ride was broken due to people leaving the queue. They even tried to force us to buy lockers, just got a pair of sunglasses. One of the worst things is how poorly run the rides are. Boats are sent round empty when there are lots of people queuing. For the main rollercoaster, it was taking 13 minutes between ride dispatches, meaning it is running around 10% of its intended capacity (ie the queuing time is 10x what it should be). The only reason I can think is that they are trying to sell more fast track, but it is ruinous for everyone else- especially with the temperatures here. We left the park after 90 minutes. If you're standards are theme parks from the West, this is a cheap, poorly run version of them and not worth your time in such a play as Ha Long Bay.

I was told they had 2 different admission prices. $350,000 dong with the cable car and $200,000 without it. We paid the higher price for the cable car. We rode up to that park where the first ride we went to was closed. We were also told everything was included but we went to see a 12D movie and were told that was $80,000 dong. The games were extra money also. We rode 2 rides and thought it might rain so we'll take the cable car back to the other park so we could try and get that in. When we arrived we were sad to find out that not only does that park close from 12:00 to 1:30pm, which is never mentioned, but there was 2 different park down there each requiring a seperate $200,000 dong admission each. WOW! But even if you wanted to pay they were closed for the next 1 1/2 hours. I went to customerservice and explained our situation. All I asked is to be able to ride the cable car back up to the park we had paid for and we were denied re-entry . The park was deserted this day. Very few customers. what would it have been for them to open a chain and let us on the car. But we were denied saying we had already spent our time there, all of which was 90 minutes. I kid you not. Just terrible customer service and a major fail on their part. So buyer beware as this is not an honest company in my opinion

The view was wonderful, the price of the entrance ticket includes the price of the lift, back there, the panorama please, the go-kart, the visit to the panopticon and the visit to the wonderful gardens. The view is amazing! From the Windham hotel towards the bridge, there is a fantastic Sea Foods restaurant, for 330,000 per person, an unlimited selection of dishes that we have not seen before, I am afraid of crab, sushi, frogs, oysters and I could list more, sweets, cookies, ice cream, an awesome selection.

Really fun place and good value for money considering the ticket is valid for 2 days. The combo of the amusement park + water park + cable ride is great value for money. Bring a lock with you to save the cost of renting one. Food inside is expensive

Breathtaking views at the top of the cable car on the sun mountain station for all of Ha Long Bay. Probably the only place to have panoramic 360 views.
Cost 500k dong and was worth the price. Other activities include a zen garden with koi, slide and some musical performances.
No real food options up there so eat beforehand.

Enjoy the guiness world record holder queen cable car across ha long bay. Takes you to a water puppet show, koi fish pond, bonsai japanese garden, samurai slide and ferris wheel (gives excellent view of ha long). Activities to do for kids as well. A must during a ha long trip.

I hope the park managers will see this so we can fix it. Me and my sister went in the afternoon and it was very hot. We had to take off our shoes to go on the slides, but the ground was extremely hot. When me and my sister went on a metal bridge, our feet got burnt. Please fix this by adding more shade!

We visited the water park for the day, the staff were extremely racist towards us as we were English. Refused us a locker by saying there wasn't any left after we watched keys were returned, so we stated that and they laughed in our faces and continued to dispense them to Asian people in the park. On rides/slides when in a que we were constantly ignored and left to wait as the staff kept ignoring us even though we were at the front. Even though as advertised a lot of the slides were closed along with the lazy river. When asking questions to any of the staff just completely ignored or laughed at. Very rude towards western people made to feel very uncomfortable all day avoid. Spoke to a Spanish supervisor who was very understanding and very helpful the only positive of the day

Is the park open every day of the week?
I know it is currently closed due to COVID19, just wondering for the future.

Is there tour feom hanoi to get here specifically? Or can you combine halong bay boat tour with this park ?

It is best to stay in halong. Travel to halong, stay in hotel for 2 nights. First afternoon you can take cable car and then enjoy one of the many superb seafood restaurants in Halong. Hotel can book a full day cruise the next day (much longer cruise than day trip from Hanoi or even 2 day 1 night cruise) more seafood and back to Hanoi thế next day. You will see more and it will probably be cheaper than a 2 day 1 night trip. I can recommend the Alex hotel in halong.

Is dragon park open even on weekdays, like Thursday? Does online booking of tickets cheaper or just the same when buying on the spot? How much? Hope you'll respond ASAP. My family planning to go this coming Thursday. Thanks!
Written 25 December 2017
Hi, I remember our hotel staff saying its open on all days, we ourselves had visited on a Saturday. Points to remember, it gets shut by 8 pm, the best time to go is around 2-3 pm. Again the Hotel staff said the best place to get the tickets were at the counter. The online price at Trip Adviser is more expensive by 25% as I believe they are giving you round transfer also. Do get the combined tickets with the cable car and visit the Mystic Mountain complex too(Ferris Wheel, Toboggan, Great Views, Cable Car, Gaming Arcade).

Bonjour,
