What a lovely place - and not a plant label in sight! Beautiful 'natural' plantings, with quirky follies. Easy walking mostly on grass or soil paths. Although the Heath Robinson style cuckoo clock was out of action, the sun glinted on the bottle dome and...More

A beautiful unusual and exotic garden complete with a cuckoo clock and water tower. What’s not to like? Extensive plants and flowers at every turn plus an extensive nursery of plants to buy to take home. The food at the cafe offers everything from home...More

I visited with my family on Easter Sunday. On arrival we were told that parts of the garden were closed, so we'd only have to pay half the entrance fee. We paid in good faith, thinking surely it would be worth our money and time,...More

I am sorry, Abby, that you were disappointed but how could you not be aware that the countryside is still shut down from the non-arrival of Spring. And not to have looked at the website where our problem is discussed in detail. There was also...More

Richard Pim should enter the Chelsea flower show, most of the "trendy" garden designers could lean a few things from him. This place is a soul uplifting experience, the 9guys from Pembridge clearly cant see it but for me it was wonderful, plus we could...More

The cafe area was extremely small & when a coach full of people arrived, you could not get in. Added to this, you had to pay your entrance fee at the till in the cafe & referring back to my previous remark, this really was...More

We went right at the end of the season and had a very wet visit. However, we really enjoyed the lovely gardens which have been so thoughtfully planned. Would definitely like to return next year when weather a bit better.

This is a pretty garden but two of us are mobility impaired and it still only took us an hour to walk around and have a pot of tea. Better suited to NGS opening rather than a stand alone attraction.

Well tucked away Gardens with some interesting little features along the way. A 'bottle dome, which when the sun is out gives a great effect from inside. A massive cuckoo clock which performs on the hour and is run by water (obviously!). There is an...More

I'm sorry to hear of your fall. I've taken note and will be getting some fine gravel down in a few places where I can imagine the rain has made it slippery. Maybe that will inspire the sun to come back!
