Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is for prayers and calm. Overlooking the sea on a hill. A spiritual place to respect and enjoy.

Our Lady of Mantara is still under construction especially inside the main basilica (still only bare concrete in some areas) which made for a disappointing first visit.

While this is a very religious site, it also offers a traveler a fantastic opportunity to take the cable car and see most of Beirut. There is a nice church on the site which can be used for prayer and reflection. Well worth a visit.

This is a symbolic site for Christians as this is said to be the place for Mary used to wait for Jesus to return from his preaching. Worth visiting.

It is not a historic building, it is a modern basilica, still under construction (some final works, no possibly terrible scaffolding anymore). The church is beautifully located at the top of the mountain, which makes place even more stunning. The basilica commemorates the place where Saint Mary was waiting in the Cave for Jesus and other men.

This little church right next to a more modern one is carved out of rock. It is small but lovely. The interior is rough hewn so you really get a sense of how rustic it is. There's even a year round display of the Nativity in a carved out niche near the door. You park on the street above where the new church is and walk down several steps to the plaza where the entrance is. Access is free.
If you are visiting Mleeta, this is close by.

Ma tata means waiting. Our lady of Mantara in Maghdouchi south of Lebanon is the place where Virgin Mary used to wait Jesus Her son during his voyage to preach Christianity in the villages north of Jerusalem. It is a place to visit and pray

This religiously important sacred cave believed to be the one where the Virgin Mary rested while she waited for Jesus is worth a visit if you are in Sidon. You get good views of Sidon when you are high up on the tower crowned with statue of Lady of waiting . You also get to visit the cathedral which is still a work in progress- the atmosphere is serene and peaceful .
