Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Yacka is a small rural town in the Mid North of South Australia about 30 kms from Clare on the road to Gladstone SA en route to the Flinders Ranges. It was settled in the 1870’s as mainly a farming area with the small town being the centre of the community.

The history of the area is evident in the town’s central area. Standing next to the institute is the town’s tribute to the soldiers of the area. It comprises a white marble memorial of a statue of a soldier standing at ease. On the faces of the plinth are the names of local soldiers who fought from WW1 on. The memorial was dedicated in August 1921.

Like most towns in Australia, the well-kept memorial is central in the community and features as a part of the wonderfully displayed history of the town.

It is well worth a visit both to pay respect and also see its place in this town’s history. Whilst there take a stroll around the main street and view many other historical aspects of Yacka.
