Not only a fascinating monastery with history but the gorge is also famed for the griffon vultures living high above out of the wind

This is an interesting Monastery in my opinion .. beautiful architecture and splendid views. It's often a stop off point on other extended excursions but not to be ignored as a place to sit and relax for a while.

We did not plan to visit this monastery. We drove by past is on our way from Milatos to Plaka. It is an oasis of quiet. The arquitecture and flowers are gorgeous. The bell tower even more pretty. If you want to visit 1 monastery...More

Close to the main road but yet, calm and full of peace area. A perfect, beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere !
