Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a really great day being on the West Oz Adventures Red Gorge tour.
With our fantastic Guide & Spiderman Sim we spent a day in a part of Karinjini National park which you can't access on your own - impressions which we will never forget. Would definitely recommend to do a tour with those guys while being in the park. Got also many explanations about the park's flora & fauna which makes the tour very informative.

Safety was priority number one throughout the whole tour - we felt being taken care of at every point of the day.
Hint: bring your own waterproof camera if you can. Pictures are taken by the guide during the tour however the quality / resolution of the pictures provided are quite low.
Thank you so much mates for making this special adventure possible for us!!

We (mum 45, dad 52, three boys, 18, 18 and 15 yo) joined the crew of West Oz Active for a trip down to the Centre of the Earth in Karijini NP. The weather was superb, the gorges gorgeous and the company fabulous. Our guides were simultaneously completely hilarious and dead serious; they took their job and responsibilities seriously at all times while having the best time and cracking jokes non stop with each other and the group. They gave heaps of background information on the area and wildlife as well as the conservation of it, which was really interesting and educational. We had the best day we could possibly have imagined and it was definitely the highlight of our trip to WA. Worth every cent and these memories will last a lifetime. Plan your trip so you get to do this tour. You won’t regret it. You even get all the photos taken during the day sent to you afterwards.
Thanks Hui, Jeff, Josh, Snook and Sim for this truly unforgettable experience.

I was there with a large group and we had an amazing time exploring two gorges with two guides. There were hilarious and incredibly knowledgable. I can only encourage everyone to book a tour with them!

Walking, swimming and paddling through these magnificent gorges are only surpassed by the guides humor, enthusiasm and passion for Karijini. Would absolutely recommend!

We were lucky enough to do the last Red Gorge Adventure of the season and had the most amazing day. The trip is incredibly well organised and safe. The Red Gorge Adventure gets you into the restricted part of the park that you can't otherwise access, which is simply stunning. The tubing down the gorge is so peaceful with only your group in sight. You'll want a good level of fitness for this tour as it's a full day which includes lots of walking on uneven surfaces while carrying your tube and backpack, climbing, paddling and a fair bit of time in the water. My Red Gorge Adventure has been one of the highlights of my year.

Thanks to Sim and Josh for an amazing day - for looking after us and ensuring we're safe, sharing your knowledge and passion for Karijini and your friendly banter.

Dear Babybird85 We are so glad you were able to make it on our final canyoning tour for the 2019 season! We are proud to only employ nationally accredited adventure guides to ensure our clients get the best experience, knowledge and safety. We truly love Karijini and we are delighted that that comes through in our delivery. So glad you are one of the very few whom we are able to share our hidden office with.

With 3 joint replacements and age not helping, I was a bit anxious I wouldn't be able to pass the first downhill descent and would hold up the group. I passed and had the most wonderful day. Safety was the boys' number 1 priority and I felt safe all day.Highlights were the welcome to country drifting in fresh water and viewing the stunning red 2 billion old cliffs, the slide and the special sanctity of it all. The boys provided a special mix of silly banter, safety reminders and geology lessons (they were interesting!), making it a day to remember. Thank you.

Dear TasMBA Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. So glad that you felt safe during the day as safety is our company's priority in this very remote part of WA. Just as a point of reference we are glad you enjoyed our acknowledgment of country, we are rightfully respectful of the rights of the traditional owners of the Karijini National Park. It's only a small word correction, "acknowledgment" as opposed to "welcome" (we know what you meant, however others may not). We respectful correct your word use here and ask your understanding in doing so. Delighted that it was a day you would remember!

Karijini National Park and its gorges are amazing but you have not seen them until you have climbed through narrowing channels fro one gorge to the next, floated through them staring at their grandeur, abseiled down them, slid down natural waterfalls to crash into pools below or traversed the face of a gorge attached to a ferrata (a rope suspended on the wall). These areas are not open to the public because of the deaths and injuries that occurred previously among the unprepared public in these grade 6 gorges but they are open to people with these guys because they know what they are doing! What a brilliant experience - just great Geoff, Hwee, Josh, Andrew (David), and Sim :)

Dear TKPerth It was a delight taking your family on tour with us. So glad that you all had a brilliant experience. We hope we have given you some confidence to tackle the via ferrata in the Dolomites. We wish you all many more family adventures!

Incredible day abseiling, sliding down gorges and climbing up. So incredible to be part of the 0.5% of people who get to visit these grade 6 gorges thank you to both our guides had an amazing time the only downside was having to finish the day! (Plus maybe the heat in the wetsuits apparently being the last ones to wear them).

Dear bzss So glad you had an awesome day with us and being the very exclusive few that get to enjoy this part of Karijini. Balancing client comfort in the Karijini environment (hot surface temperature, very cold water) is extremely challenging for us and we constantly ask our clients for feedback as the days start to warm up. Delighted to hear that you still had an amazing time despite perhaps being a little uncomfortable in the bib-and-brace wetsuit.

This is the second time I had done the red gorge adventure and it was as epic as the first time. I knew what to expect but was still a bit nervous however Josh, Sim and Admiral Muscles did a great job of explaining all activities and making us feel at ease! An absolute must do if you want to experience these remote parts of the gorges which are so beautiful and quiet! Loved all the roping activities and also the quiet relaxing time spent floating along enjoying the scenery and appreciating the history of the country. The boys have amazing knowledge not just in ensuring that we complete the tour safely but also in the wildlife and geology. An awesome day full of laughs! Thanks for having us
