We reached there at around 4pm, then it was cloudy, and some local guy told us that in the early morning you can get a view of the mountains behind the statue.

Buddha Park (Tathagata Tsal) is a place NOT to be missed when travelling to Sikkim. Located at Ravangla (Rabong) in South Sikkim, it commands an unbelievable location - Golden shining Statue with green forest backdrop amidst white mountains overlooking it. WOW!

It is one of the landmark every tourist should visit. It is a visual delight. It is calender shoot monument with rich background i.e. mountain range of kanchanjunga. It is just 2-3 hrs drive from Gangtok by car and worth visit.
Travelled from Namchi to this serene place, not to miss when in Sikkim. Very well maintained and beautifully located place. Got a lot of knowledge about Buddhism.
Though the journey is tough but not a place to miss.
