My heart pumping and my voice singing literally! So excited to see icebergs! Out on a boat to get up close and personal with these beauties! A glacier lagoon, with a massive glacier feeding the waters, carving off icebergs! Had a taste of ice, 1000...More

The boat trip around the lagoon was great. The tour guide was friendly, the scenery was stunning and the boat trip definitely provides you with an up-close view of the glaciers! We even saw a seal. The whole thing ran smoothly and I would definitely...More

The lagoon is stunning. You MUST take the duck boat tour out into the lagoon ... in addition to seeing glacier pieces up close and personal, you'll have a chance to hold and taste a glacier fragment. We were treated to a number of the...More

This was one of my favorite places in Iceland. I loved seeing the icebergs in the lagoon and don't miss the black beach across the road where chunks of ice wash ashore. If you are a photographer you will go crazy here. It's great! There...More

it would be about 10 hours driving total, if you don't get out and marvel at various sights along the way. a stunning drive, but very long. plus factor in time out the car doing things...I'd say it's too much for 1 day.

I did 2 weeks ago when there wasn't any snow. It was a nice drive but I wouldn't do it again. Drive out on the one day but book a hotel for the night nearby the lagoon. The Foss hotel looks really nice!
