The main cruising area, from Victoria to the Broughton Archipelago, is protected, with hundreds of islands and thousands of anchorages, many of which you might have to yourselves, even at the height of cruising season. The... More

A couple friends and I kayaked all the way here from a cabin we rented, and we went around a small island in the middle of the park. The amount of marine life there was unbelievable! If you're lucky, you can catch a couple of seals playing and the occasional eagle.

We were lucky to arrive by sailboat and had three days to enjoy the tranquility of the Sounds. The water was great as well and learned to SUP. Visited the fabulous hanging lake and waterfalls on West Redondo Island - Teakerne Lake.

We've boated here for 41 years. Love the clear and warm water. Lots of anchorage sites when using a stern tie. It's surprising how accessible cell phone coverage is here.

Went on brother in laws boat and cruised to Cortez, Savery and Lund. Beautiful scenery, wildlife, even swam with the harbor seals. Take a floatplane to Lund and skip the ferry rides

We set out from Campbell River passed Quadra and Cortez Islands, through the Lewis Channel to Desolation Sound. Through out the trip we heard about the history of the area from our Museum guide, Luisa. We went into Lund for a great lunch at the historic Lund Hotel. Here we were greeted by a staff member who gave us a... More

This is an amazing trip to take in a Zodiac with a native guide. The petroglyphs are wonderful. So are the swimming holes complete with ropes from trees.

On board motoryacht Caroussel of Pristine charters, we thoroughly enjoyed athree hour sunset dinner tour mid august throught his park en route to/fro Desolation sound. The wondrous marine and bird life, e.g. seals, eagles, jumping fish and twilight illumination of the beautiful bays in this park make a oncea lifetime experience

Absolutely a five star experience-chartering from "Desolation Sound Yacht Charters" out of Comox Harbour, B.C. We chartered a Jenneau 42 sail boat. Boat was in superb condition-almost brand new! self furling sails, well equipped cabin, plenty of room for 2 coupes. Could fit 6 persons easily. Easy to reach Desolation Sound from Comox....we had 6 days of great weather, good... More
