Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My second visit to the park and it was superb.

Tracker Ali Ananda and the jeep driver did their level best to find the tuskers and they arrived in numbers.

Mighty Rewatha, Crossed Esala1, Neela and few more young tuskers.

Kalawewa National Park is renowned for its large heards of elephants with a high concentration of tuskers.
Park office is located at galkiriyagama/matalugama area. Between Dambulla mirisgoni junction and Kakirawa.
I have been trying to locate this place for a long time but couldn't find the entrance before it was declared a national park.
Visited for the first time in early June with my family and what a off-road safari it was saw 5 big tuskers and 2 young ones in a heard of about 75+ elephants and to see two of the largest tuskers in the park (Diga 1&2) was priceless.
Mr Ali Ananda expertly guided us through the off-road track's.
