There are a few steps leading up to the Banasura Sagar Dam. Once on top, you are greeted by the vast expanse of water. There is speed boating, horse riding and an ice-cream parlour at the top. Overall, a decent activity for adults and kids alike. Make sure you visit the place first thing in the morning or late afternoons.

There is jeep service too to reach at the top and quite cheap Rs.20/person. Views from top are pretty decent and one can enjoy speed-boat too. Overall nice place... More

This a nice dam which requires a 100 steps climb to reach. However, there are jeep facility available to bypass the climbing. The view from the top is awesome. This is a must visit place in Wayanad.

A lovely peaceful place to visit. The speed boat ride is a must, other bits to see are ok, but not worth mentioning. The scenic views are fantastic

Nothing to do any physical activity on Asia's Second Largest Earth Dam other than climbing 100 steps to reach the top. If you don't want to walk then you can opt for Jeep (Rs.100 for 8 ppl) this charge is for onward and return Journey. Else you can opt tempo traveler van service Rs 10 per head for one way... More
