Regularly described as a “hidden gem in Lincolnshire” this exciting visitor attraction offers a variety of events and exhibitions and an award – winning schools’ education programme. Owned by English Heritage the Hall is operated by Lincolnshire County Council. Gainsborough Old Hall is a large, late- medieval manor house built by the noble Burgh family around 1460. The house boasts an impressive Great Hall; original medieval kitchen; East and West ranges containing a myriad of rooms and a haunted ghost corridor.

Our second visit this year to this wonderfully preserved, 15th century manor house. My 6 year old grandson was with us and loved it, he couldn't wait for his second visit. He loves the medieval kitchens, the solar room, where you can spy on people...More

Live in Lincolnshire but never been to Gainsborough,we parked outside and with 2 hrs before closing we went inside too have a look...Best bit for me too see was the kitchen,very well laid out as you could imagine it...Staff pleasant and helpful..And had the clothes...More
