We found nicer more relaxed beaches on Phuket. There's no need to blow your money and an entire day visiting here. This was part of a two island day trip, although the tour company was fine, the visit here was avarage... Ten times better than Coral Island (part two of the trip) which was appalling.

An amazing island with beautiful views. We stayed at the racha and discovered that if you leave the resort and walk behind it, you will find a small road with some local restaurants, supermarket and bar.

I went here with Aussie Divers for day of diving. Water has loads of marine life inc Manta Rays. The island gets lots of day trips on the beach and snorkelling. It's about 1.5 hours on one of the dive boats.

The island is low-paced, serene and filled with beautiful scenery and nature. Wildlife is all around, as well as domestic animals. Sea water is among the cleanest I've ever seen, and the beaches among the most beautiful. The garbage and waste scattered all along the paths and trails are a disappointment but not to a degree of spoiling the overall... More

Koh Racha is a beautiful island just 30 minutes speedboat ride from Phuket. My grilfriend and I spent 4 nights here over NYE and found the experience to be very relaxing and a much slower pace to Phuket. Cows, cats and chickens roam the roads, and there isn;t much to do other than snorkel, swim or lay on the beach,... More

We took a 3 hour stop at Racha Yai during a fishing boat trip. We were moored out with all the other boats about 300 meters from shore and have to take a long boat onto shore. White sands and every clear clean waters with sea life close to shore and around the coral reefs. Clear waters and can see... More

calm and nice island - except if you run in to daytrippers. the main beach is flooded with people, on the other beaches it is a bit calmer. good jogging track in the jungle, just watch out for the 2m long lizards and aggressive water buffalos :). everything is overpriced on the island and tourists are pumped empty on money.... Take a speed boat to the Island - a 30 minute trip from Phuket. Many day trip options are available. The main beach is beautiful with pristine white sands We enjoyed a 2 stop snorkeling option . The sea water is very clear with very safe and controlled snorkeling areas. A nice day trip with good easy snorkeling .
