One and only in Uttarakhand amongst 52 shaktipeeth. A holy place for all garhwali locals. A strong will power is must to go on foot otherwise horse is a better option to go on top.

a few minutes en route...you may get a minuscule view of the temple and one would feel like giving up / think it it would be worth.....keep that though aside as you will be mesmerized by the views once you are there on top !...More

Very nice temple on an ultimate location of 10000 feet, you have to go by walk till temple for 1.5 km stairs and inclined way, so you should be fit enough for tracking, take your time, track the way, enjoy the way, and then enjoy...More

Approx 30.But real feel would be 35 and dry. Very dehydrating.Carry a lot of water. But the view from the top and the shrine will blow your heart out. Quite windy and mesmerising.Out of the world feel vibe at the temple can... More

From Dhanaulti you can easily get buses to Kaddukhal, from where one has to start the trek to Surkanda. You can also get shared jeeps from there as both the points- Dhanaulti as well as Kaddukahl are right on the main road... More
