1 major resort has taken over a large part of the beach. A resort next door at far end has been knocked down, ripe for expansion of neighbors. Still, massage ladies on beach were good fun. Bargain for a better price/package. You can find good shade on the beach in the afternoon. Nice spot for a nap after lunch in a beach side restaurant. The water is weedy, nothing special off Alona itself.…

I was there in 2005 and I can say that its was a nice beach surrounded by mostly diving shops and locals. 14 years later, this place is completely disfigured by ugly and wild constructions, numerous boat and destroyed beach. It makes me think to what happened to Sianoukville in Cambodia, totaly destroyed by mass tourism.…

We enjoyed the beach, it was clean and the water very clear. We paid a small entrance fee and the beach was just down the road from our hotel Villa Formosa The restaurant served oysters at US$5 for 12. Yes that's right and they were lovely fresh or cooked.

One of the best beaches in Bohol. White powdery sands and clear ocean water. Has one of the best sunsets you can experience. A lot of resorts to choose from with different budget. Guaranteed to have a great time wherever you stay. Do your research and make sure your resort has a beach front!…
