Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We often take groups of clients to the lakes for lunch which everyone enjoys its a great park with good clean toilet facilities (a must have) the lakes look great with their water fountains and its a good place if you want to feed the ducks. The park itself is well laid out with nice walks...would definitely recommend a visit for all ages.

Went at lunchtime on a Wednesday and got a table away from the main bbq toilet block area. The aquatic residents came close by and comfortably sunned themselves on the rocks in the winter sunshine. Very calming and enjoyable.

Like most Queensland towns, Caboolture hates pedestrians with a passion, so they make getting to the lakes unpleasant and put a few too many toads in the park itself. And you can never escape the roar of traffic on the bridge. Otherwise, it's a well done town park, with lakes and falls and forests and ducks that could be great in other circumstances.

Centenary Lakes, situated in the heart of Caboolture, is an idyllic place to relax in grassy areas beside a number of lakes. A great place for families and ideal for picnics with tables and seating, some sheltered, and free barbeques provided. Visitors are able to see ducks, waterfowls, turtles and other bird life in abundance. Play equipment is provided for the enjoyment of children and facilities are well maintained.

This is a beautiful peaceful area for walking, cycling, picnicing, dog walking or observing the very interesting ducks, pelicans and other wild life. There are lots of big shady trees for sitting under as well as exercise machines scattered about for a spot of fitness. It's also not crowded on the weekends.
We cycled to this beautifully looked after area three or four times and often noted families having fun whether it was lunchtime or late afternoon. A must do if you are a visitor to Caboolture.

The lakes is kept by the council and is very clean and presentable. There are plenty of areas that are set aside for your BIG day (wedding) or special occasions! There is plenty of space and BBQs to sit down and enjoy lunch. Lots of sporting facilities and parks for children to play in. It’s safe to visit and you can bring food to feed the ducks and birds there is plenty of them. There is also a walking track around the park if you feel like getting fit! To the back of the lakes theee is an outside area to rides bikes around like a veladrome. Sports played there: netball rugby basketball bowling. There is a club you can visit if you need to pop in for a drink or something to eat. There is also a fenced area you can bring your dog and let them loose! So it has everything from being able to participate in the areas described for children or watching the sporting events each week. Very relaxing and pretty place.

What a lovely place for a walk, to feed the ducks, contemplate life by the river, wander around the lakes, have a picnic, play in the playground or just run wild. There are many sporting facilities in the area with a lovely manicured lawn, nice quiet spots to sit with seats or picnic tables dotted about. There are many areas to explore here. Today there were hundreds of cockatoos in one area of the park; a lovely spectacle.
I am keen to return and share this lovely spot with others. There are concrete paths making access for strollers or wheelchairs easy too.

Nothing to see really. It's at the lower end of Caboolture before the bridge. Usually covered with algae. Not many ducks or wildlife to see either.
There was an accident there a few years ago. A woman drove into the lake. It was over 5 meters deep.

This park area has a playground which is great for a BBQ or day out with younger children.
Lots of little walking tracks at the "top end" of the park, and nice to feed the ducks (although they can get a bit bossy).
