I am sure it can be sheltered at times but on the day we went the surf was running and it was being enjoyed by board riders. There is also the river entrance where safe paddling is an option. Dogs everywhere.

This bay beach has got something for everyone. Sheltered kiddies corner, waves in the right conditions, dog friendly, easy car access, toilets and shower.

Quiet, peaceful beach. Great place to bring your dog. The water was gorgeous and so were the cute dogs.

Low tide is better for exploring, but then the water is shallow for swimming. Lots of rock pools. Great views from the headland at the north end.

Beautiful beach with calm waters. Our teenagers preferred the rough and tumble of Broulee Beach but I loved Tomakin Beach. The rocks with various sea life were fun and the water clean.

As you drive to park your car on the left hand side you can go there for waves but if you have smaller children and would like something a bit calmer go to the right hand side which is the cove. This was great for...More

Be sure to stop by here for a fish, a swim or just a picnic on the sand or the grass. There is a boat ramp with plenty of parking for trailers.
