Good open Safe Beach

Tamakin Beach is just around from Barling Beach to the north around Melville Point which is a great place to take in the panorama of Tomakin Beach with its golden sand and blue water.

The best 24 hours off leash beach in the area
Jan. 2019 • Family
After we explored a few dog friendly beaches nearby we concluded that Tomakin is the best one for dogs and for the owners. It is long, water is shallow (suitable for kids and non-confident swimmers). There are usually lots of dogs so your dog can socialize. There are also the toilet and shower available. Parking lot is OK if you are the early bird, otherwise you can park along the street and walk a bit.

Great dog friendly beach

Lovely spot, great for our dog and paddle boarding. Not to deep and a bit sheltered. Nice area. Gets very busy in peak periods.

We went down to the beach a number of times. It was quiet as it was cold, but because of the weather was not very busy. Quite a clean beach and very good for walks along the shore line.It does go for a long way but very enjoyable.

Nice surprise
Jul. 2018 • Friends
My Uncle and I were heading to Mogo Zoo for the day but we got up WAY too early, so I suggested he keep driving so we could see what else was out that way.... and we ended up in Tomakin. I had honestly not heard of Tomakin so it was a bit of a surprise that there is such a charming little town out there and a stunning beach.

This is somewhere I will certainly return to... it's just gorgeous. The beach area is so delightful.

Incredible scenario and very pleasant beach

We travelled ther twice with the family and had always a very good time. It's a very long beach cut in 3 sections (barley beach, tomakin cove and river mouth) with plenty of space to walk, run, surf, etc. The green surroundings, the quiet atmosphere. It's a must to visit,

Tomakin Beach is simply awesome
Apr. 2018 • Friends
Have visited this beach on every visit to Tomakin and you won’t find a more peaceful place to relax and unwind. The beach is unpopulated even at its busiest times and because it stretches for so long you can walk for hours and enjoy the solitude. Fishing is great and swimming is safe due to the lack of huge thumping waves. Have not seen any lifeguards so take care when little ones are playing near or swimming. If your staying at Barlings Beach Holiday Park then the beach is right on your doorstep and a must visit.
This beach really is one of the great wonders of the Eurobodalla Shire and Tomakin itself and always worth the stop to visit.
