Well you have seen pics of this sea cave, a collapsed grotto, on Pinterest and everywhere. Now you must see it in person! We arrived in Paia de Benagil by car, parked at the top of the cliffs in the car park, east side of...More

We wanted to experience this cave from the inside beach. The boats just peek inside for 2 minutes. We could swim or rent kayak/board. We opted for kayak although we have little experience and I weight over 140kg (~300lbs). We barely made it, but it...More

I am so in love with this beach and it is so great that I have been to the famous cave by kayak. It is so incredible, much bigger than I expected.

It's a very clean, well managed, beach. Lifeguards appear from their shells during peak periods. There are amenities, showers and boat trips to the glorious caves. Plus, free parking up t'hill. All good/great.... BUT... I've been here four times and been able to swim twice....More

This is truly a beautiful beach with jaw dropping caves carved out by nature through the millennium. The cave tour is a must, or you can swim to them if you wish. There are also private beaches that can only be reached by boat.

There are signs posted prohibiting swimming from the beach to the caves. Despite the restriction our boat captain had to rescue a swimmer who ignored the restriction and was in distress part way to the caves. I am not sure why anyone would brag about...More

Beautiful, small stretch of beach. Ideal for kids and toddlers. If you are interested in visiting Benagil sea caves, there are speed boats operated from this beach.

I swam to the cave, did not rent a kayak, but there is a place to rent kayaks right at Benagil Beach. I believe it is around 20 euros for two hours. I used a standard travel camera (Fuji x20) but I have a waterproof bag to... More

No need to plan this in advance. When you are in Lagos you will easily find boat tours that go to the cave! it’s the main tourist attraction there. Have fun. There are at least 6 tour boat companies here on Tripadvisor... More

Try to book online because it is overbooked for the same day if you arrive at the beach after 12..... swimming is 15 mins at most but beware chill ocean water.
