Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was told that there was an orchard that we can visit and take some Instagram worthy photos and drink have some cider tasting. So here we are at the Raeburn Orchards. The tasting only starts around 11am if my memory serves me right. It was so good, we bought a growler worth of cider home, not all of it made it home with us. There is an entrance fee to the orchard, which i believe is $5/ pax, but we can stay in the orchard as long as we like, but not to pluck any fruits off the trees. It was persimmon season, so there were heaps of it in stall for purchase.

Was there in the afternoon, café was up and running though having issues with eftpos. I bought some fresh apples to make my own homemmade apple cider. It was sad and disappointing the café doesn't use the fruits from their own orchard in their pastry desserts.

We had lunch at the small cafe here, 'Cup Cup & Away!). Only a fairly limited range of already prepared foccaccias available, but what we had was very tasty. The coffee was also pretty good, and also available are some of their very tasty ciders and ginger beers ... bit on sweet side for me, but still went down a treat. (Tastings also available). The shop sells a wide range of good quality fruit and lots of other mainly local produce, condiments, jams, honey etc to stock up the larder. A very pleasant stopover.

We went here for a photo shoot, the trees were absolutely beautiful, believe more blossoms to be coming in the next few weeks so worth a visit. Many wonderful products available.
We sampled the ciders and also purchased some to take home.
Nice little spot to visit.

Absolutely beautiful place. We had our couple shoot here which turned out to be a secret engagement shoot and I am so glad we chose this location. So many beautiful plants, trees and fruit, the vibes are just amazing if you like nature. Definitely recommend going here you won’t be disappointed.

At $5 per person for entry to the orchard you are not allowed to “touch the tree”, never mind taste the fruit. The guy was circling around on his quad bike at 30km/h we were covered in dust and left the place somewhat disappointed.
After that, we went to visit S&R Orchard nearby, what a contrast! All the staff at S&R were super friendly, you can eat all the fruit you want for $7 per person, pick your own fruit to take home, free rides on a tractor, and plenty of family friendly activities. Also, their fruit was much tastier.

Had a nice time walking around the orchard and the staff were friendly and helpful! We treated ourselves to some things from the shop too and enjoyed these.
Would love to visit again during a different season.
Only $5 to walk around, cheap afternoon out and we were able to bring the dog too.

Raebun Orchards has a pretty well stocked store with a cafe, but the Orchard visit wasn’t worth the $4. No fruit picking and limited fruit trees to view too.

This orchard is getting even better with it's little cafe and some specialty gift lines. Prices are good for seasonal fruit and staff are friendly and helpful.

Hiya, not sure about the fruit but there is no transport out there, you would need to make your own way out there.

How do we get here by public transport from Perth city centre ? Thanks!
Rebecca
Perth, Australia282 contributions
Hi. You can get the train from Perth CBD to Armadale and then bus number 241 from the train station to near the orchard. It is approx a 100 metre walk from the bus stop to the orchard. Transperth's website has a great journey planner that you can use for exact times.

Generally, the Persimmon trees start to change around the end of April to early May. This can vary by a couple of weeks depending on weather conditions

I am not too sure what fruits will be in season during autumn as they usually have different fruits for each season. You can communicate with them via email. They are very friendly people.
