Fun Place to Spend the Day, or more.

Kind of a long drive, kind of pricy, but still a lot of fun to swim in the hot springs, tour the grounds, get a bite to eat and just plain unwind.

It is a little out of the way and a little out of the ordinary. If you are looking for a luxury spa this is not the place for you. If you are looking for something different you will love this place in winter. In the summer it is a little too hot and too buggy. In the winter the... More

We came five years ago and since then they have made good updates to the hot springs, locker rooms, showers, bathrooms, hot tubs, pool and surrounding area. I found that things were cleaner, looked newer, and more organized. They still do need to fix the door leading to the springs it bangs shut every time anyone goes in or out... More

We weren't sure what to expect here... We went, though! We drove the 2 hours from Fairbanks and the park is BEAUTIFUL! The Resort itself seemed a bit creepy - their staff was all rather strange - but very nice. BRING A TOWEL AND SUIT or you will be overcharged! We forgot towels... bummer! You can rent them very expensively...... More

The first time I went to Hot Springs and it was amazing. I went there late at night, the water are hot and there were no a lot of people, which was great. In case you dont have a swimsuite, they have clothes that people left there, and you can wear it.

The owner of the Hot springs, Bernie Karl, did a magnificent job of making this area pleasant for all young and old alike. There is an excellent Restaurant that serves excelent food at reasonable prices, there is also a bar, an indoor pool, hot tubs an outside heated pool from natural hot springs, different areas of the outside pool has... This place is hyped up for nothing. I went just to say I did it and for the experience since I've never been to a natural hot spring before but this place gave me a bad impression. The facility's upkeep was horrible, they really didn't take very good care of this place. The prices to do things were ridiculous, we... More

Chena Hot Springs has many activities such as horseback riding, ice museum, hydroponic garden and the hot springs power plant. There is hiking, a soak in the hot spring, one restaurant and gift shop, and two levels of lodging. On a clear night the aurora would be seen and the front desk will give you a wake up call if... Peeps, If you want awesome pictures of the aurora away from the city lights and of course weather permitting, go here! The activity center is open to all, all night through. I definitely recommend hiking up to the aurorium (it will take less than 5 mins to get there) for the best view of the northern lights.

The resort gets an average review because of the rudeness of an employee that sold us the admission to the ice museum.. which is located in the activities center. The young man was tall and thin with large silver earrings, a beard and he had a split lip. He did not have on a name badge and we didn't ask... More
