We got to Federation Chocolate late. But we had a taste test, delicious, so we made a purchase. Next time we’ll be earlier to watch the chocolate being made. Lovely people.

Less than a week ago, We called into this chocolate factory, tried samples which were lovely. So I bought 6 packs to take home. Opened a block yesterday the 28/11/19 Disgusting worst chocolate I've even tasted, After the chocolate dissolved in your mouth your Left with a mouth full of sawdust.. At almost $10.,00 a block how very disappointing, Why were the samples so smooth & creamy yet the packeted blocks were pure crap...

Hi NobbySA1 I am so very disappointed that you have not enjoyed the chocolate purchased. The samples are made from exactly the same chocolate as the blocks so there should be no difference. As you can see by the response from our other reviews below your experience is not common and we would love some more information on the blocks you purchased to find out what may have happened. So please reach out to us through our website. If you contact us directly we can usually resolve very quickly any problems. It is hard to resolve an issue through a forum such as this. Our chocolates are hand made, hand poured and produced at the factory at Taranna. We are a small family business and pride ourselves on the quality of the chocolate we make from Cacao Bean to Bar. We support small cacao farming families from around the world, only selecting the finest beans to make chocolate and paying farmers appropriately for what the produce.

I stopped by after visiting the Unzoo and am glad I did. The lady serving happily gave myself and my ten year old son plenty of samples and I purchased $35 worth of chocolate. The salted caramel peanut truffle is to die for and worth every cent of $3. Could have eaten ten of them. Definitely worth stopping at.

Went here and tried some chocolate. Nice staff but you don't need to spend long here. Good coffee and easy parking. We bought a few treats for our road trip.

We stopped here on our way to Port Arthur. I had to ask if we could sample the chocolates and the staff member begrudgingly gave me a few. I felt like I couldn’t sample a wide range of chocolates due to her rude manner. We did buy 2 blocks, which I did sample, and the chocolates are delicious.

Dear joanneo320 I am so sorry that is the experience you had. This is not what we pride ourselves in and is very disappointing. We love chocolate and we love to share our chocolate with people, it is so unusual for people not to feel welcomed and enjoy their experience when visiting. I am not sure what happened on the day and why you received this response from our staff, and you are right it is not good enough and I know we can do better. I am so very glad you enjoyed the chocolate, we have worked very hard to make chocolate that can be enjoyed by all and we truly appreciate you visiting us and buying from us and supporting our family business. If you have any other concerns or information about your visit you would like to share please reach out to us via email. Maurice and Helen Curtis

Call in and taste you will be amazed - friendly staff who allowed us to taste nearly every flavour (which resulted in us buying chocolate). The chocolate is lovely and smooth. Take a while and enjoy what is on offer

Our family of 5 (including children aged 17, 14 & 10), stopped in to the factory. We were greeted by a friendly lady who explained the chocolate making process and gave us all many samples to try. We ended up purchasing 7 blocks and they were definitely fresh and full of flavour. Lots of interesting flavours to sample - it was hard deciding which to take home. We’ve enjoyed the chocolate during our tour of Tasmania.

They are happy to let you taste test and no pressure to buy. Never had apple chocolate before and glad to find out they deliver around Australia. Truffles were very delicious.

Very small, not much to see. Chocolate is probably overpriced, but we bought a few blocks and it was yummy.

This is a small chocolate factory that is set up so that you can see the chocolate being made. The variety is excellent, staff are friendly and informative we left with quite a range of different types. The enjoyment lasted beyond the visit.
