Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The view is great but the monkeys are not.
One grabbed my daughters watter bottle and really pulled but she hung onto it. The monkey then turned and grabbed my other daughters handbag pulling off a toy/key chain and proceeded to rip it apart in front of us. Getting aggressive if we even took one step in is direction.
There are plenty of signs saying "don't feed the monkeys". For this very reason. But there were tour guides encouraging tourists to "have fun" feeding the monkeys!

Love it! Rang Hill is the best viewpoint near the Phuket town, clam and peaceful. Also the restaurants up there is quite good with the affordable price. A great place to sit and chill!

Best view point I feel, amongst the others in Phuket as the view is panaromic. Worth a visit. Easy to get there by car.

The best to get there is before the sunset, we got there by 6.30pm and stayed there until it tuned dark, 7.15pm. We were rewarded by day and night view of phuket town. Pity we did not get a proper view of the sunset as it blocked by the clouds.

We had a reservation in a restaurant nearby and had time to walk around. We have noticed that most people there are couples on a date. I guess the place has a romantic ambiance but still can be enjoyed by families. If you've been to Hong Kong and seen their sky scrappers, you might not enjoy it as much. Transportation might be a problem as there are no taxi stands or bus available around. So might end up waiting a while to get back to Phuket town. Regardless, its one of the few places to visit in Phuket Town.

Free entry with ample parking space.
Was empty when we arrived at midday. You can have a panoramic views of the town & offshore islands.
You can spot the Big Buddha from the viewpoint.🙂

I don't think I want to do this AND Monkey Hill, they are close to one another as we will have a moped. Both have view points, both have monkeys. Monkey hill is taller at something like 270m vs 140m for this one I think I saw someone say. Which would you recommend between these two?

I haven't been to monkey hill. Sorry

Здравствуйте, вход я посмотрел бесплатный, а обезьяны прямо там ходят или где то в другом месте, за которое надо отдельно платить?

We are coming from Phi Phi Island in the morning and would like to visit Rang Hill before catching an evening flight out of Phuket. Does anyone have a suggestion for storing or carrying our luggage? We are a family of 5 and will each have a carry-on size bag. Is it ok to take it with us up Rang Hill and have lunch? Or should we find a hotel to store it while we venture around?
Written 31 January 2018
Hey. There is no any hotels or guest houses near by. But...I think you could store your bags somewhere near by. Or inside your cab/taxi. For example you could hire a van from your place for hourly rate. But It could be quite expensive
Regarding going around with your bags honestly it's not good idea, due monkeys there on the daytime. They can simple rub you and your belongings. It's funny to see from outside but I don't think that you will like.
So, the place is quite good! So there are a few place to eat and have a rest! If you will come with kids, then you have to buy them thai ice cream, it's so tasty!
Have a nice journey and flight back home!
