What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday evening.
Roughly a 45 min scooter ride away from Kata/Karon you’ll find this wonderful street market, that is indeed a whole vibe. The atmosphere is buzzing but also family friendly. Fresh, delicious street foods aplenty and stall after stall of refreshing drinks, trinkets, clothes, souvenirs and handmade item. The street is also permanently lined with restaurants and beautifully decorated, colourful older style building of a time long ago. As per our experience everywhere, the people are so inviting and friendly and the prices are so reasonable. We ate fresh sashimi and sushi at 10 baht per piece, a plate of satay sticks for 50 baht, ham & cheese crepe rolls at 50 baht, fairy floss 20 baht, deep fried banana & Nutella mini pizzas 35 baht and THE BEST coconut milkshake at 30 baht! Also bought some sunnies for 99 baht a pair and two beautiful scarves for 100 baht. There is live music from around 6pm and kids activities like painting and candle making. Recommend going around 4pm when it’s not yet busy and taking your time strolling up one end and back down the other. We enjoyed a light shower while we were there and looked on fascinated at how quickly the stalls were covered with plastic. A very well organised event 👏🏽 Enjoy, enjoy!

    Great local experience
Located next to a shopping mall near the Old Town. A great way to grab a bite on a budget. They not only offer a wide variety of multi-ethnic food but also souvenirs for quite a bargain. Some stalls sell fresh seafood but I would advise caution when ordering them, as they may have flies on them.

    Best markets in Phuket
We managed to walk over 10000 steps just at these markets. The stalls are endless, the stall holders delightful and not pushy at all. There are endless food choices, all freshly cooked, and tasteful entertainment throughout. We could have stayed for hours, but my feet just couldn't walk any further. It is a bit of a taxi ride from Patong Bay, but sooo worth it.

    Lotta fun
One great big market with loads of great food and shopping. The market is only open Saturdays and Sundays. On Fridays it is only partially open, so remember if you want to have access to the whole market, you need to visit on Saturday or Sunday.

Best of both worlds - retail and food ...get here asap !
Wow that was an experience ! This market has so much going on and is huge. The retail offering is absolutely massive, and the food range from the food section is also huge. I did at least 4 laps if the food stalls trying to decide what to get as the choice is endless. Bought a nice shirt for a mere 250 baht and tried a seafood noodle dish which was interesting and new to me. Make sure you get to this market, far bigger than Chillva which has mostly new stuff. This market has a heap of new retail such as nags etc, as well as the smaller items you expect to find at markets.

Little too busy and samey with stalls
We arrived around 5pm to avoid crowd's. The aisles are narrow and we made the correct decision not to bring the parm along with us for that reason. The stalls sell fairly similar things, clothes and trinkets. The food area looked good but was so busy that we decided against it.

    A must visit
A must do if you are in Phuket. Lots of varied stalls and entertainment. Very narrow walkways between stalls and great busy atmosphere. A huge range of food stalls including fried insects! If you fancy some!

Loved the buzz , food and the little shops on both sides of the street. Very busy as the space is narrow but definitely worth visiting

Getting better and better, I have visited this market many times over the years. All I can say is that it has gotten better and better. Don’t miss it if for nothing else than the experience.
