Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was not planning on visiting, but my guide recommended it. Great recommendation! The sunken church in the lake is very photogenic. If you have time, go around the lake and also see it from a distance from the other side.

It was really cold. I was visited this beatiful place for christmas with my girl friend. It was -17 degree at nights. But we got a bottle of wine and went out. The nature was amazing. This place can be visited for every season of year. Because it is silence, good nature and definitely chill out place. We have stayed 4 days. But I can not say no for 30 more days.

Lake Mavrovo is a beautiful lake in the peaceful surroundings of Mavrovo national park. The area is good for walks in the summer and in winter it is a ski resort.

The lake is very picturesque and can be viewed from various vantage points in Mavrovo village although we found that there wasn’t much more offered from Mavrovo than the view from the dam at the point where you leave the main road. We were there in summer and the water level was low so the ruined church was actually out of the water and sitting on dry land, so just looked like a ruined church.
