Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My grandson visited Imhoff Farm from a very young age. He used to say come see how I feed "my animals". I took him on 18 January 2020 and I was grossly disappointed.
The Price to enter is R20 and a little tin of feed is R5. That hasn't change but the Farmyard certainly has. There are grape vines planted on most of the yard.
We entered and went straight to what we thought were the Pigs and Goats - his favourite animals. We passed piles of rubble and then saw a few Goats with Kids, three cows and some ducks.
My grandson although disappointed that there were no Pigs had "fun" with the goats. I bought 2 tins of food and another 2 later (total of 4) to only feed the Goats and ducks. The ducks also wanted attention and pecked him on his legs.
As we were leaving I asked the gentleman where the Pigs went and he answered there is one near the entrance. We saw the one lonely Black Pig and my grandson said "AH". There were some Turkeys and more Ducks. The other animals did not interest my grandson so I cannot say what they were - no pics!.
Shortly thereafter the gentleman came and ushered the animals into their enclosure.
What a let down !!

Unami Sushi at Imhoff Farm is simply one of the best sushi places I have visited in a very long time. The staff are amazing, attentive, professional and full of joy. It is a pleasure to be there even before the food arrives. Fresh and plentiful sushi can be ordered individually or in platters. Mixed platter was R225 and for once I left with a full tummy (unlike a lot of sushi places I have been). Beautiful surroundings of the Imhoff farm. Fully recommend Unami to anyone. They just need their own Trip Advisor page.

One of my favourite places in the Noordhoek area is Imhoff Farm. The variety of things to do ensures that everyone in the group will have a good time. This includes visiting the farm shop which has a wide variety of products available, a wine shop with a great selection of wines to purchase, a petting zoo for the kids, a craft brewery and various shops and restaurants. When we visited we had lunch at the Blue Water Cafe (reviewed separately) and did a beer tasting at the Lakeside Brewing Co (reviewed separately). What I really liked was the big green lawns where kids can run around and play, and one of the other restaurants also had a decent jungle gym. Overall if you are visiting with family or friends, you will have a great time.

The farm shop deli and cafe are pleasant enough but I was disappointed that there was very little stock that was gluten free. Several items in the shop were labelled wheat free, but not gluten free. When I asked in the cafe if they had gluten free cakes I was told no, quite curtly. Life as a coeliac is difficult in this part of the world but some cafes do their best to suggest something on the menu and check ingredients with the chef.

Visiting once a year for the past 25 years, the evolution has been pleasing to see.

3 good restaurants, as well as a farm stall that had quality well varied items. I got some different jams with good bread, and some delicious ice-creams.

My teenage daughters enjoyed the bookstore, as well as the craft jewelery shops.

A good short or longer browse.

There's many markets in the greater area. I found this one the best.

Great space, for kids and adults alike. Petting area with farm animals. Great restaurant, with tasty meals and reasonable prices. Good space to get out for the day. Extra little shops with homemade products.

Imhoff Farm is definitely worth stopping at. The property is beautiful with lovely gardens. A range of shops and places for coffee plus a decent farm shop. We enjoyed our visit and would certainly return.

We booked a 2 hours horse ride on the beach with Imhoff Farm. We were 4 beginers and 2 guides. Once on the beach, we started troting, everything was going well. After 2 minutes troting, the young girl who was "guiding" the group asked who was in for a gallop. 2 riders including me said yes and started galloping with the girl. After 30 seconds of a soft galop, one rider felt off and her horse started galloping very fast in the opposite direction. My horse tried to follow this horse but I managed to control him. In the meantime, the stupid guide started galloping to catch the horse despite the other guide was already trying to catch him. As a consequence, all the other horses were totally scared and started to gallop and became uncontrolable. I can not manage to stop mine until my right stirrup brokes. I felt off and have been seriously injured in the back. All the other riders felts off...The guiding girl did nothing. This staff is totally unprofessionnal and the equipment is bad. Never go there, choose another horse center..

A friend and I went on an outride on Noordhoek beach, the beach is isolated with a vast expanse of sand and the sea rolling in on our riding path. Codi, our guide was knowledgeable, communicative and for me had an unquestionable love for their healthy horses. The ride was about two hours; we rode up to a canter. As we rode we spoke about how at times guests have such a disregard for the horses well being, like, saying they can ride without having any idea. Beating them, pulling on the reins that obviously hurts their mouth. Don’t try being a hero, Codi has the experience and determination to ensure that the ride will be enjoyable irrespective of your skill and with respect, all that encompass a good ride, will be, we will be back. Thanks Codi , regards Brett and Willamien
