If you are interested in lighthouses Slangkop is close to Cape Town and the views are stunning. On one side you overlook Hout Bay and Chapmans Peak Drive and on the other side is nothing until you get to South America. Well worth a visit.

We could not enter, as it was a public holiday. But the facilities seem well-maintained. Very clean and neat.

If with time and when driving along the scenic coastal road, this is one place you might want to visit. Although tucked in a corner, the lighthouse is visible from the side of the road and is not too far from the main road. It...More

Good views and nice to see inside of lighthouse. Would benefit from some information boards or someone to provide information on history of the lighthouse. Worth a visit if you are in the area but check opening times first.

The lighthouse is an interesting stop and the beach is pretty. The light house is only closed at lunch and on weekends.
