Beautiful bay

Really appealing harbour and bay. Wide wall for sitting on at the harbour and just a stunning back drop.

Beautiful harbour.

This is a great place to wander around a very small and real fishing harbour and a stroll along a lovely beach when the tide is out. The whole place is unspoilt and I hope it stays that way.

Just a lovely fishing village. A wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with some great pubs and eateries. Be careful as parking can be a bit tight in places

Quintessential Cornish harbour
Sep. 2020
Not that much to add to the reviews about this place that seems to catch hold of a lot of first time visitors and wont let go. Its a working fishing harbour and if you time it right to see the catches being landed then it adds to it all. Some of the fish, crab etc might well be on your dinner plate that evening !
Like all Cornwall, the weather is the thing. T shirts and shorts if you are lucky then sit by the harbour wall. If not, wrap up well and watch the waves breaking. But if so, do not get too close and use a lot of common sense.

More rocky than sandy

A pleasant little harbour with a few shops. We were there during a busy week in Cornwall, but it was still fairly quiet.

Harbour Lights Cafe .....a real beacon of light in Coverack
Sep. 2020
What a beautiful spot! We'd never been to Coverack before despite coming to Cornwall for the past 20 odd years...how have we NOT been here before? After a lovely walk we found the Harbour Lights Cafe...and what a find. It was totally wonderful. The lady who served us was fab, totally professional and so friendly. With everything going on at the moment with Covid, Harbour Lights were bob on. Table and chairs all sanitised whilst we waited. Food served on a tray at our table for us to help ourselves. Knives and forks wrapped in napkins all sealed, couldn't have asked for more. The food was absolutely delicious, I can soooooooooooooooo recommend the Homemade Houmous was to die for and the Hot Choc with Marshmallows and Chocolate Buttons...is something not to be missed....pure heaven in a cup!
Add to that a BLT and Homemade Pate...and you have three very happy customers!
Well certainly be going back again...and again... well done and please keep doing what you do best.....we loved it!
And not to forget, they do a brilliant 'takeaway' too...ideal for taking across the road and onto the beach after a swim.....really ideal

Cornish heaven!!

Sitting watching the world go by. There is a ledge at just right height that runs along the harbour wall. The sun beats down. Fishermen and women go about their business. Families do what families do. The smell is wonderful. All is right with the world.

Harbour Lights Cafe you should never turn business away!
Aug. 2020
Based on the fact The Harbour Lights is a cafe (not a restaurant or a pub) my husband and I popped in for a coffee. The cafe was not overly busy and we took a seat outside to take in the view. The waitress brought menus to the table but we both fancied a cheese scone to go with our drinks. I was told that scones were not served until 3pm and as this was 1pm the only food available was that on their lunch time menu. I explained to the waitress we only fancied something light but the waitress was adamant that scones could not be served until 3pm. So I said not to worry about food we’d just have a pot of tea and a coffee. I was then informed the cafe did not serve drinks without food. How perplexing! We were happily served our drinks at a different venue in another village nearby and I couldn’t help but wonder why, as a business, you would ever turn business away!

Great little place - well looked after
Aug. 2020 • Friends
Called in by accident as my daughter needed the toilet! Parked in an honesty carpark! nice clean loos then explored the village. I must say it has lovely feel, real village with real people who are seem to have a great community running thier own harbour,Car parks, village hall ect. Spoilt for choice on where to eat ended up in Paris Hotel which I reviewed seperatly. Kids bought a couple of toys in shop and weade sure we left a good donation for the parking honesty box. - I hope they continue the great work they are doing looking after their village and welcoming guests.
